Unkept hotel with dirty hallways, uncomfortable beds and unclean curtains with a subpar bathroom.

Love the swim up bar but was not open that late! Room was just ok! For the price I paid not the room I was expecting!

god place; home away from home stay. if you really are looking for a wonderful hotell this is the place to be. downtown were all the good stuff goes on

It might be fun to go with friends but I will never take my children again. There was too much going on in the pool with children in it at night. Adults fondling each other lots of filthy mouth and a lot of smell of marijuana.

The hotel was ok. Most of the staff was nice. I did not like the bed it was very hard and uncomfortable.

The quote don't judge a book by its cover come to mind. The hotel was ok. The out side looked better than inside the rooms. I do think the we remodeling the rooms but unfortunately we were in a room that had not. Price of room was comparable to surrounding hotels. Staff were super nice and the pool area was nice. We will give second chance.

Management doesn't seem to care at all about appearances. The common areas were filthy! They have pool parties on the weekend and my only complaint about the pool area was that the music was way too loud. You couldn't even have a conversation with someone next to you. We were on the 14th floor and could still hear it quite loudly. There is no restaurant on site. If you want breakfast, you have to walk over to their sister property at Captains Quarter for the buffet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but you got the feeling the owners are trying to cut every corner possible to make money. I will not be staying here again. For the record, Hotel Blue, Captains Quarters, and Loco Gecko are all owned by the same company. Be aware.

Check in was easy, rooms are nice and updated, and it's a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. I was really weary of booking the hotel because of some of the reviews but I really enjoyed my stay.

We have gone here every year for about six years..our last trip...the new owners started reno then stopped caring..the last trip was the end of rope..view of garbage..room dirty grounds dirty.the only thing going is the pool and swim up bar but they have opened that to the public on Sundays so guests don't have a chance to enjoy or get served

Paid for Oceanview and only got a partial view, room had mold and wallpaper was coming down but front desk staff was very friendly and polite

Do not reserve the queen rooms, they are closets. The suites are ok but this property is not well maintained. The only thing it has going for it is the great pool and a swim up bar. They open the pool to the public on Sundays which means it becomes a general disaster and the bartenders wait on the locals and you lose a vacation day trying to use the pool or bar.

Twice water came down from the ceiling from the room above us into our bathroom. The staff was very responsive when we complained and moved us the first time and cleaned up quickly the second. Also some guests displayed questionable conduct in the pool, but security did eventually remove them. Nice location right on the ocean and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and in good order.

The decor of this hotel was beautiful. It's has a modern hip flare.. the staff I encountered where all nice & helpful.. very sweet people that work here.. My room was clean and neat. I booked the family suite in which it was very spacious, with a terrific view of the ocean..The pool on site was clean. I really enjoyed having drinks at the swim up bar. I will definitely stay here again when I return to myrtle beach

Hotel blue exceeded all of my expectations! Will definitely stay there again.

it was a good hotel. right in front of the ocean. the parking building is small but it was okay.

Took two cars. Would only give us one parking pass. Room was small. Floors were nasty! Every night we had to wash our feet if we went barefoot in the room because they would be black. Loved the pools, saunas, and location. Drinks at the bar are overpriced but good. Also all three beds were very uncomfortable. Will not stay there again.

We booked our trip through company who sent our confirmation that we would have a "Family Suite" with three single beds. Two beds in one room and another in another room. The day before we left we decided to call the hotel to assure our room would be what we were promised. The hotel stated that they denied the request! We called the company and spoke with several people who said that Ocean Blue denied the request and they would see what they could do. After many hours without any assistance from the company we called Allen the manager at Ocean Blue who said he would see what he could do. Allen was able to provide us with the room that we were promised. Thanks to Allen our girls getaway was wonderful, the service was great and all the staff were friendly. We would recommend this hotel and hopefully return soon.

Desk staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. Walls are a little thin and you can hear people in the rooms around you. The swimming pool was neat with a swim up bar.

Very nice trip. Awesome pool atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were descent compared to other stays at different hotels. the walls were thin and you could hear the guest in the room next door. The pipes made noise everytime they were used.
