The hotel was very nice! Located right by the peir and on the ocean! Unfortunaly, our room smelt like mildew the whole time. I believe the filters needed changed in the A/C. The room was very loud, you could hear the people all around you. Going forward, I wouldn't choose this hotel for a stay longer than one night.

Everything met my expectations. Clean room. Good service. Good value. I enjoy the fishing pier. Nice bar and restaurant. Excellent buffet for breakfast.

The guy and I were celebrating his grad school graduation. We got a great rate for Springmaid and enjoyed the stay. I'd never stayed that far South at the beach but I enjoyed the seclusion. Walking the pier was peaceful as well.

A great hotel right on the beach with a fishing pier. Nice staff and super location. We spent four days with fantastic weather and enjoyed our stay immensely.

On the beach, well maintained, great location. Staff was helpful and we had a lot of fun. Coming back next year

Plenty of activities on the resort for the entire family.

Our stay was fine. We were there on the weekend of the hurricane and security warned us to move our cars to higher ground for safety. We thought the restaurant was over charged for the quality. The food was cold and the bread was hard.

I was suffering with a concussion and needed to stay longer at the beach. Moved from my first location to Springmaid Beach Resort, they allows pets and I was interested in checking out their campground (own a travel trailer in storage at beach). It is a great location and loved that food is in walking distance. The pools were clean and the beach area clean. The dog park in another plus and we used it a lot. The room air conditioner made a loud bang at the end of cycle. The first night a rude dog next door barked all night, I called the office to tell them. The next night the dog bark on n off, I called the office again to tell and asked if they could move me, I was told the place was booked full. I had such a headache and feeling really bad with two nights of no sleep on top of my concussion!!!! The third night I guess the dog was really worn out and was pretty quiet. The dog also was barking during the day. I could not believe the hotel would allow this to continue to happen and not ask the owners to board their barking dog, like other places would have!

The only drawback back was third floor building NO elevator. I am older with knee issues. Wish the room reservation had said this. Otherwise the stay and everything was super

The hotel was tidy, on a part of the beach that was quiet and not busy. I wish the rooms were quieter, we could hear our neighbors easily. Room had everything we needed, full size fridge, microwave, counterspace. Could use some updating, but lady at the desk said they have been purchased by Doubletree and will be undergoing major renovations soon. Several pools and lazy rivers for entertainment, plus free minigolf, I missed not having a hot tub. I would stay again.

this end of the beach was so peaceful. I enjoyed the view, would like o book the same room on my next trip! The surrounding amenities were great and easy to get to.

during our stay we needed help when an older family member became disoriented and security staff got him back to his family in a professional way. we are so grateful.

This was our second stay at Springmaid, and I'm sad to stay that it has gone downhill considerably. First of all, the price we paid for a 5 day stay was outrageous for the lack of amenities and condition of our room. We were booked in the Cypress, which we found out later is the dog-friendly building. While we understand that these rooms can be more difficult to clean, but they should at least keep them updated. I really wouldn't even feel comfortable having my dog stay in this room. Cabinet doors were off the hinges, rust on the refridgerator, loud AC unit, worn-out mattresses, stained carpet, clogged drain in the tub, dirty walls, roaches, and blood spots on the bedding. We had to ask for our rooms to be cleaned, for towels, and toilet paper. The TP looked like it had been soaked with who knows what-really gross. We ended up having to go to the front desk at 10pm to get our own toilet paper because the maid had never replaced ours. Rest assured the maid was promptly available on the morning of check-out. She banged on our door at 8:30am and parked outside our door until we left at 10:30. The amenities that we enjoyed on our last stay were not available. No pool bar, music, maid service, or complimentary breakfast. Although the grounds were well kept and the location ideal, we won't be going back to Springmaid.

We only stayed for one night, which was a good thing. The room was very small, but we booked it at the last minute. The airport is close by and it is very loud. The pools were kind of dirty and the entire outdoor pool area had a foul smell. The staff was very helpful and friendly though. For a quick trip it was fine, but I would not want to stay there for an entire week!

Location was great! Didn't have to go far to get a bite to eat or to the beach.

Overall we really liked the hotel. The location was great (at the end of the strip of hotels), so the beach wasn't very crowded. There were several activities planned for guests, which would be great for guests with kids. The room was clean, but the bathroom could definitely use some updating. They also really need more lighting on the grounds. Walking around after dark felt a little unsafe. The mini golf course also could use some TLC. Several of the holes had ripped carpet and there weren't enough clubs so our group had to share one kids sized putter between us. I do think I'd stay they again, especially because of the price.

We have stayed here for the past 7 or so years and every year it has been great. This year however, they failed miserably. I assume this has something to do with the resort being purchased by the hilton recently. The grounds were dirty, litter everywhere. Our electronic door lock did not work for 2 days. We had to wait hours for the staff to come remove the unit just to let us in and out of our room. NO refund was offered. The wifi was barely usable. The old middle section still has the metal doors, resulting in almost unusable cell service. The putt putt course hasn't been maintained in what looks like years. The game room is gone. The staff never made our beds and the sheets smelled horrific. Again, these were all brought to the attention of the staff, yet no refund or free night or anything was offered.

The location of the hotel was good for relaxation and quiet. However, you will either have to rent a car or take a taxi to eat out and do anything.

BOOKED LAST MINUTE AND WAS VERY PLEASE WITH OUR STAY! WE HAD OCEAN FRONT VIEW, NICE BEACH, GREAT POOLS, ROOM WAS DECENTLY CLEAN, ETC. KIDS LOVED THEIR STAY!

This was the best resort in Myrtle Beach- Close to the water - and far away from people - There is so much to do at the resort - We loved fishing off the pier - We rented poles and had a blast - WE WILL ALWAYS STAY at Springmaid - Don't waste your time staying anywhere else - The staff is friendly and everyone talks to you - The rooms were cleaned everyday - Also make sure you go to Bagel King for breakfast - It's like you're in a NEW YORK Deli -
