For less than some regular hotel rooms, we had 2 comfortable nights here in a suite with a bedroom (2 queen beds), master bath, living room /kitchenette. There is a full desk for working, a table, cabinets with dishes, silverware, etc., as well as a full-sized fridge, stove, sink, and cooking necessities. This place even serves appetizers some evenings, alternating with drinks or desserts on others. Breakfast comes with the room. We made easy drives to sightseeing both at plantations and historic Charleston. There are also plenty of eating places around, like the Bonefish Grill walking distance across the driveway. Found this an excellent value for a couple, even families with children.

We stayed here April 14, 2017. We have stayed here many times previously over several years-each time as we visit Charleston for recreational visits. It had been over a year since our last visit and I must say we were all disappointed with this visit. It is becoming apparent this property needs to remodel/refresh-glaringly aged carpet on our room floor. In our room there was a single garbage can and it was tiny-this in a room with a kitchen, sleeping area and a bathroom-minor I know but it was irritating several times during the stay and makes no sense. Wallpaper was coming off the wall in a couple of spots in our room and our mattress had a curve to it on the edges-a sure sign that replacement was needed. We have previously highly rated the breakfast buffet but as I said things have changed-wasn't terrible but was just OK and this hotel charges strong rates and we gladly paid them for above average rooms and food-the rates are still quite strong but everything else is certainly NOT! Our travels brought us back to Charleston 4 days later and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across from this hotel on Montague Avenue-it beat this Residence Inn in every way. Two words sum it up "very disappointing" and since there are so many nice hotels around this property you should go elsewhere-we certainly will!

Booked a last-minute reservation and they were happy to provide a Marriott Rewards upgrade, which was most appreciated. Also thrilling to us was when we could not "stream" from our computer to the TV and up comes Engineer Ashley, who explained how to un-hook the white cable in back that is used for "gaming." Did not know this, so thank you for your knowledge, Ashley. Everything about this hotel is A++, walking distance to stores, a well-appointed Fitness Room, lavish breakfast. Nicely done, Guest Services Manager Alexandra Toregas!

The hotel is new and has a great location. The bed was very soft and I loved it. They serve very nice snacks and drinks every day, It is located next to many nice restaurants and is very close to the highway. It's close proximity to the airport is very convenient!

Nice spot. Clean and cute pool outside. Good buffet for breakfast. I did have some trouble getting them to clean the room. Had to call them twice, and one night they lied and said the do not disturb sign had been on the door all day.

We were thrilled with our stay at the Residence Inn. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage while we went exploring prior to check in. The king suites were perfect for each couple. The front desk staff was helpful showing us true southern hospitality offering tips on attractions to see and restaurants to try. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed a complimentary full breakfast with attentive staff waiting on us. This is a great hotel which also has a shuttle bus to the airport which is also complimentary. I would definitely stay here again!!

I've been here several times for business and it's a good deal for the money. The location is convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool and patio area is well kept and nice for relaxing at the end of the day.

Stayed here for a two night get-away. The hotel was fairly busy, and the front desk was understaffed when we checked in. The young lady at the desk was very helpful and our room was fine, but we had to wait a long time at the desk to check in because they did not have any additional staff. First morning we left about 9 and asked to have our room serviced while we were gone. Young man at the front desk said they would. Returned four hours later and the room had not been touched. Bottom line is that there is a lack of attention to customer service here. It's not that bad, but not up the performance of other marriott properties. Rooms are quiet, but the transfer of sound in from the halls is loud. Great shopping near by and you can get to anywhere in Charleston easily from here.

This was our second stay at the Residence Inn. We chose it because it is reasonably priced. We (2 of us) had a very attractive suite with two bedrooms and a living room/kitchen and two bathrooms. The manager was terrific. He saw us as we checked on Valentine's Day and told us they had a free dinner that night in the breakfast room. They did. It was not terrific food, but they had meatballs and other things, plus wine --all free. The next night they had free wine and desert (chocolate fondue and fruit).

My wife and I stayed here again this past weekend when i was running a 50 mile race in nearby Charleston. Super convenient to the airport, outlet mall, walmart and four restaurants. Short drive to historic Charleston as well. There are 4-6 other hotel options but the staff here are super friendly and very accommodating and just plain nice. Sarah, who is in the sales dept., left a very nice gift of mineral bath oils (for my aching muscles and joins), two Cliff Bars and a bottle of Gatorade as congrats on my race. She did this last year as well. Sarah also put us in a room right by an entrance and on the first floor which is very helpful when stepping up from the curb is painful. The weekend front desk person was also very helpful when I locked myself out and instead of making me crawl all the way back to my room, she called my wife and confirmed I wasnt a homicidal maniac and gave me a new keycard. The breakfast buffet was good. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausages and an assortment of cereals, bread, fruits and pastries. No bacon though. I also used the laundry and huge improvement from last year when only one washer was working. I will be back next year for the same race and will stay at this hotel again.
