I always stay at this property. Great staff and location. I run a local ultra every February and it is less than 30 minutes from the course. There is Bonefish grill across the street or a BBQ joint about a 5 minute drive. There is an outlet mall about 10 minutes away for last minute running gear at Nike, UA or a Bass Pro Shop. The staff are always helpful and accommodating especially when I need a first floor room to avoid the stairs or elevator post race.
This upscale-looking hotel is located at a somewhat busy intersection. If International is busy, there are two other ways to get into the free, shaded lot. A very pleasant young man checked us in an provided restaurant information for us. Hotel is pretty and clean. We had a corner room on the third floor, which was amazingly quiet. Breakfast was typical of nicer chains, with eggs/ready-made omelettes, biscuits, gravy, sausage patties, waffles, fruit, pastries, breads, cereals, drinks. We made a grab-n-go sausage biscuit. Evening snacks/drinks are offered a few nights during the work week. Our Monday offerings were some craft beers, light beers, wine, hummus, bread, cheese. The pool is outside in a lovely courtyard. We had a king room, bed and pillows were comfortable. No bedside table on one side and we both need such for eyeglasses, water, a c-Pap machine, so we jury rigged one from the luggage rack and a drawer. Love having the separate bedroom. The hot water was immediate and the a/c adequate. comfortable space, some restaurants are in walking distance. Only downside was having to walk through smokers as we entered through the side door from the parking lot.
Made a last minute reservation when we decided to evacuate ahead of hurricane irma. They were the only pet friendly hotel with available room. Hotel was packed with evacuees. Many families with children and pets. Manager called in extra staff to deal with mass influx of out of town evacuees. Kudos to all those who braved high winds and flooded streets to assist. Despite the overload of guests the hotel staff did a great job of staying cool, calm, smiling while keeping the place running smoothly. Free breakfast buffet had plenty of hot food for all. Extra towels, blankets and sheets were readily available. All the vending machines and the small food shop were restocked often. Hotel even waived their usual $100.00 pet cleaning charge. All rooms have kitchenette, 2 burner stove... microwave... fridge... toaster... utensils and plates. Would definitely come back.
The hotel was very well maintained from rooms to lounge to outside pool area. The rooms are of a good size with small cooker if you want to cook, large fridge freezer and sink. The bedroom and bathroom were quite spacious to. A breakfast is included and so is a mix in the evening (a get together with food and drink) . All the staff are very friendly and very helpful. If you like shopping this hotel is only a 10 minute walk to Tanga Outlet.
We stayed here, with our cat, for a few days while we were in the process of moving. The staff are outstanding and helpful, with everything from recommendations to wishing you a simple good morning. There was plenty of room in our suite for the two of us, the belongings we were moving ourselves, and all the cat's stuff. The a/c worked great and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Breakfast wasn't fancy but it was well-stocked and fresh. The hotel is within walking (and quick driving) distance from several restaurants. They are truly pet friendly in that we could bring our cat for just a $100 fee - some hotels are "pet friendly", but only accept dogs. Really the only minor issue is that the furniture is dated and dinged, but that wouldn't stop me from staying here again.
The Residence Inn Charleston provided a great place to get a good night rest for our road trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to many stores and was easy to access via the highway. Great room with easy access to the parking area.
I stayed here for a few days due to work and the hotel was okay. The beds were hard, which is usually not the case for a Marriott property. The room only had one remote for two tvs. The tv in the bedroom did not have any local channels at all. Other than that, the hotel is clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast is also decent as well but I suggest getting there before the end time.
Great location, very well maintained facilities, great staff, rooms was clean and bright, grounds and courtyard was manicured, meeting rooms are large and well stocked. I highly recommend this place. Five Stars.
Very nice hotel with a great courtyard. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean and well stocked. They had no problems shuttling us to the outlet mall and airport. Would definitely revisit.
The hotel looks nice from the outside and nearby the Charleston Airport. There is a nice outlet nearby ~1 mile. It should be 4 1/2 stars but I like to round up to 5. The 1 bed room King suite is very nice with a big refrigerator. The bed is firm and nice. There is a decent outdoor swimming pool. They have happy hour for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday is more like snacks with buffalo wing sauce dip (we thought there were buffalo wings but just the sauce) and salad, you can make a light meal. On Tuesday they had very good hamburger. On Wednesday, they had vendor coming to sell hot dog so we skipped. All 3 days they provide beer (good one) and decent wine. The breakfast was just OK and they got rid of the favor cream for coffee. There were not many selection for fruit but the pineapple was very good. The oatmeal was below the average. Almost same food everyday so after 5 days I started tired of breakfast. The check in and out were very fast and front desk were very friendly. The people at dining service were very nice except one who gave us a hard time the first morning. It was Monday/Memorial Day so they open at 7 instead of 6 and we were there 10 minutes early and she told us with unpleasant voice that dining not open yet. Later on, it seems she knew what she did was wrong without apologize but the way she talk with us we knew she wanted to make up for. Overall I believe Homewood Suites is a little bit better with breakfast and dinner/snack.
