I booked 2 rooms. They were 2 floors a part. The refrigerator leaked in one room. The balcony wasn’t clean. In the other room the lock was missing on the balcony door. It was fixed in a timely manner.

The oceanview was beautiful!!!!!!

There were bugs in our room, our “balcony” floor was cracked so bad with chips of paint or flooring so we couldn’t even stand. It was like standing on shards of glass. There were bugs on the head board. Cricket looking things and black bugs on night stand between beds. The bathroom flooring around shower is appalling. And for some reason I was charged 140$ at hotel… not sure why. The smell of weed was surrounding the entire hotel. The most ratchet people walking around. Shady people. Ladies, I wouldn’t stay here solo…

Loved the ocean view room! The pool, and the hot tubs. The easy access to the beautiful beach. But the furniture in the room itself is a little worn, and a few outlets didn't work.

For what i paid wasn't worth it bathroom had mold...asjed for clean towels never got them....someone tried to use my credit card after i checked in had to replace credit while there...drove 5hr and was told couldn't check in till 4pm got there at 3:30pm...went back at 4:07pm and was told room still wasn't ready so i asked for a discount and thats when he said your room is ready now

Staff was very friendly. The facility was nice.

Location and privacy is excellent recreational facilities great parking great overall it was a wonderful stay I only wish that we could have booked a few days more

Property is in need of remodeling but was overall clean. Was convenient to the beach and surrounding shops

The room was not like the pictures and it was people laying on the rug outside my room but they come and got them up. Just know the room is nothing like the brochure. And my cousin did not get checked in until 3 hours later cause they could not find her paperwork for her room talking about she didn’t pay when so paid her room in full it was a mess and it’s is not what they are offering in the brochure and the lady at the front desk looked like she was high off something. On my next visit will I stay there again NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved that my room was on the beach it wasn’t a long walk pools was always cleaned an the hot tub was just that hot I would love to boo another vacation for next year O and we grilled one nite while at the pool I loved it

Entire room needs an overhaul! Flooring torn up, poor lighting, all room furniture damaged, old and/or dirty. Bathroom sink cracked, tub drain not working correctly, no coffee in room, bed frame bent/broken. Balcony dirty and old, stained & damaged furniture. Orbitz advertises a picture of a new room, hotel and clean environment. The room was exact opposite. When the condition of the room was brought up to hotel staff on the day of check in, their reply was that “Orbitz does this all the time”! That should not be MY problem. Both companies are culpable and it just confirms that Sandcastle personnel also knew of the false advertising. Having to sign a waiver that “there are NO refunds” before even seeing the room should have been my first clue. The room was in such bad shape that I would rate a Motel 6 with higher standards. The hotel staff even asked me to review with my honesty in hopes that management would dump some of the money they are ripping their customers off with, back into the hotel. We left a day early due to the rooms condition. It did not surprise me that there were 3 others doing the same and with the same complaints. Unless Orbitz/Expedia (false advertising) and Sandcastle are willing to make reparations for this shady business practice I will never use their services again nor will I recommend either Orbitz/Expedia or Sandcastle Resorts to anyone. I am seriously considering taking my experience to the Better Business Bureau.

We were checked in at 6 PM instead of the regular check in time at 3 PM. The reason being, 'the room wasn't ready'. After driving for 6 hours to reach the property and wait an additional 3 hours to check in is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional

Definitely was a little disappointed in the overall. No house keeping and I was told to just ask front desk for anything I needed, well they were not stocked with anything and very quick to blame room service for not giving them enough items(towels, toilet paper, etc) Don’t go off what the pictures look like, pool wasn’t the cleanest, views not the best, there is no restaurant. The staff wasn’t the friendliest either, just asking simple question I got short, snippy answers, felt like I was bothering them. You can tell that at one point this was a great hotel and just hasn’t been kept up over the years.

This was not safe for myself and my granddaughters. VERY FILTHY AND ROACHES CRAWLING UP WALLS IN THE ROOM!!

When we first got the hotel it seemed nice, the staff was friendly. We got there a bit few hours early so we let them know they said they’d call when the room was ready. We got a call maybe 30 mins before check in. Check in went smoothly and the front end staff was nice. I traveled with my cousin and they charged her for two rooms even though she only had one reservation. It was a headache to fix and she had to go down multiple times to try to catch the manager who conveniently “stepped out” anytime she went down. The rooms itself were okay. The TVs didn’t work properly, the ac in part of the room didn’t work and the WiFi was pretty crappy. The night before we left my daughter found a random pair of pants and underwear behind the tv. Called the front desk and they did not seemed phased or disgusted. They said the manager didn’t show up until 9 or 10 the next morning and we had to leave early to drive home so I went down and got her card to reach out.

If this property wants better ratings, it needs to invest into itself! The carpeting through out the hotel is in need of replacement. The bar by the pool needs a fresh coat of paint along with the sound system that plays fuzzy radio stations. The hotel next door's sound system was way better! The pool has an area that collects a bunch of "sketchy foam" that the kids pointed out. The customer service at the main desk was good and helpful. Dirty towels and trash seem to lay around until mid afternoon everyday which was not pleasing to see. Beach access was nice, but the vegetation needs to be trimmed back, only one person at a time could go down the path to the beach. Staff were consistently on top of keeping pool area clean which was nice! Over priced drinks, but the bar tenders were nice! Karen at the bar was cool! NO ICE IN ANY ICE MACHINE! What hotel has ice machines and no ice! Huge inconvenience! Probably will not return!

Bathrooms was clean room was clean when we got there after that no housekeeping .Rusty refrigerator no cable.
