They were cleaning carpets with heavy chemical no fans in place and very noisy. Would not give me a different room or refund my money. It is described as riverview district hotel our view was the garbage can. Very unhappy with stay

The hotel was beyond my expectations! From the staff to the room everything was great! You could eat off the floor as the hotel and rooms were gleaming! Would stay there again next time to Charleston!

This hotel is relatively new and very well maintained. It's across the river from downtown Charleston, but it's easy to get to the downtown area. In fact, the hotel has shuttle service at night for the guests to get there and back. If you're visiting Charleston, I would recommend this hotel.

While this is a happening place with large numbers of activities none of them were quite right for us.

The room was verry clean it had and awsome view .. I loved the pool . Breakfast was delicious. Verry friendly staff

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast bar was exceptional.

I would like to say that this hotel was definitely perfect for our stay. It was in a great location close to downtown Charleston. There was also a shuttle free of charge that dropped us off so we could start our evening. The shuttle driver was very professional and accommodating. As well, the hotel social hour which included complimentary unlimited red, white, and rose wine, beer and tasty snacks was defintely a great addition to the stay. The bedrroom apartment style room was very comfortable as well as the plush soft bed. I will defitely stay here again when I visit Charleston if I have the chance. Thank you all for a great job. Large room with kitchen. Very clean, could use a little updating but nothing major. Great free breakfast every morning, so that was a plus! Very close to the center of Charleston.

Overall good experience. Staff was very helpful, offered a quieter room after first placing us right next to the elevator. Room was very clean, comfortable. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Location was close to the Battery, old slave market. Riverview is a misnomer in their title, however, since they admitted they are not close enough to the river to have a view of the water. Good value compared to other hotels in this area.

Rooms were very clean and nice. Very short drive into downtown.

Would definetely stay here again. Hotel is not in an ideal location but the shuttel service to town is excellent. Hotel staff was very attentive and the room was clean and comfortable.

This was our first visit to Charleston and we loved it. The hotel's downtown billing was not quite accurate, but with the evening shuttle, we didn't mind being a outside the downtown area. The suite was cramped with our golden retriever and lots of luggage but clean and comfortable. Staffers were charming and helpful and even nice to the dog. The refund of the doggie deposit was a nice surprise. Breakfast was good. We didn't partake of free dinner with all the fabulous restaurant choices in town, but noted enticing menus (especially appreciated the local veggie menu). We're big walkers and would have liked safe places to walk the dog besides the parking lot.

Was well worth the money, staff was very freindly an helpful.Location was nice, jus a short drive over bridge to downtown. Was great for a family get away.

Not much to say really - good price and location. the shuttle service was a life-saver as was Jeanette who got us the church on time for a wedding. $15 flat-fee from Green Cab to get back was nice and easy as well

We experienced fast entry and departure. Breakfast and coffee are a plus. The description was that the hotel was close to historic district, however, it was across the river without footpath. Renting a car is essential. Well worth the rental.

They had a hearty hot breakfast buffet every day of the week, and a "social hour" that included free dinner and drinks M-Th for over an hour. Pet-friendly, clean, and easy access to downtown Charleston. We honeymooned here, and would definitely go back any chance we got -- we loved it!

I currently stayed here for an event. The event that I was attending was not near the downtown area, so the location was ideal for what I was there for. This is the second time I have stayed at this location, and it is consistently very nice. It is always clean and roomy. The staff is friendly. Parking is limited when they are extremely busy, but isn't it everywhere in the Charleston area?! Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here the next time I come down.

We travel with our cat (I know, odd), but it's fun and this hotel was wonderful. It was easy to pop into Charleston and the room was a great place to escape to at the end of the day. Plus, the service was wonderful.

Residence Inn Charleston was very clean, comfortable, and the room was large with a living room and kitchen separate from the bedroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel staff and cleanliness of the hotel was very good...better than most hotels I've been to.
