Very comfortable. However, they do not have a luggage scale.

This was the perfect hotel for our girls trip. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Charleston. The staff was so nice and locations was perfect. Can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a great location, staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is historic so a little run down but I take into consideration that they are trying to keep the historic appearance. I would certainly stay here again,

We enjoyed our stay. At first...was a little upset..rooms are small...but it is a beautiful place! Across from Marion square...lots of things to see and do there. The hotel has a central location and we walked everywhere. The hotel has a restaurant that is worth trying...great breakfast!

Our 3 year old said it was the best castle he had every been in.

Great location! The only issue is the proximity of the bathroom and its size to the location of the beds. Mattresses could be a little firmer. Other than that is was a wonderful stay. Swamp Fox was excellent.

From arrival to departure the staff was extremely accommodating! Their means of communicating via text was a great help to us when looking for a local restaurant. I highly recommend the Francis Marion Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Charleston hassle free.

Room was substandard. Noisy AC, unbelievably small bathroom with no exhaust fan. Hotel staff walked in our room unannounced. Although restaurant had good food, some staff exhibited poor hygiene habits such as dirty fingernails and combing hair over tables. Used napkins silverware was wrapped in to wipe tables and then left them there as a place setting for the next customer. Will not be staying here again.

We found this hotel on Orbitz. Great price for a great stay!

A couple of blocks from the visitor's center and close to the historic district, this is a very comfortable place to stay. It is clean, neat, and well cared for.

We stayed here only one night in order to be at MUSC early in the morning for a procedure. I stayed with my mother and grandmother, and we all really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we first arrived to the valet desk, everyone was incredibly helpful, kind, and genuine. The check-in process was great, and I loved that we didn't have to physically check out in the morning! The rooms were very clean, and we enjoyed the view from the 11th floor! The bathroom is a bit dated, but being a historic hotel, I didn't mind at all. I also really appreciated the fact that one of the staff that greeted us wrote a very nice heartfelt note wishing my grandmother luck with her procedure and thanking us for staying with them. Great experience! Also, I asked to have a room with a handle in the bathtub, and they were sure to assign us a room with that accommodation. Also, it's worth mentioning that it is very close to the College of Charleston as well as MUSC. Also, being on the corner of King and Calhoun streets, it is easy to get in and out of since they are both 2 way streets. The valet was $22 for one night, and completely worth it! There is also a small "general" store with snacks, beverages, and small gifts as well as a Starbucks. Both are connected by door into the lobby area near the valet, so it is very convenient! All in all, a great stay and a great location!

We stayed two nights on a girl trip. We loved it It's a little far for some people to walk all the way to white point gardens. We love to walk though. The staff was always very pleasant with us even when we weren't doing things exactly the way we were expected to. They just smile and help you. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere

Lovely hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Good bar and restaurant. Totally recommend.

accommodating staff, great location. second time staying here so i knew what to expect

Great service and beautiful historic hotel right in the center of everything. Loved our stay.

First time traveling with our infant and they made the stay as stress free as possible for us! Huge room with room for a crib they provided and our obnoxiously large stroller/car seat.

Expected much more for the money. Not very nice at all You should be able to get a better hotel for that amount per night

This hotel was very centrally located. Very beautiful park next to the hotel. Very busy street with lots of excitement. So many weddings and so many people the hallways were a little noisy late at night but not a big deal. I've never seen so many weddings the hotel had at least four weddings this weekend.

Great service. Great location. Right in the heart of everything. We walked everywhere or took the free shuttle buses.

The Francis Marion Hotel offers a very comfortable stay. Perfect location! The rooms and Lobby were comfortable, pleasant, and welcoming. I would recommend it! I think this says it all!!
