Market Pavilion Hotel

4.5 out of 5.0

Very nice hotel, but I would consider it semi luxury. Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, valet parking was very, very slow. Not enough staff to accommodate guests staying at the hotel. It took 20 minutes for them to retrieve my car. The front desk attendants were not very helpful. We travel to Charleston a couple times a year. Have always stayed at the French Quarter Inn and Belmond but decided to try something new . I would definitely recommend either of these two hotels over Market Pavillion.

Room and location excellent. But NO Wifi in the room! This is unworthy of a high end hotel. The coffee and hot water pots on the floor are lukewarm to cold. What's the point of putting them there?

This was the best trip we have had!! We loved the location and the food the best!!

Awesome experience. We cannot wait to stay there again.

Straight 10’s across the board. Rooms are beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been any better!! I would highly recommend this hotel. Proximity to everything is great too!! Go to Amen Restaurant 5 doors down for awesome Oysters.

Lovely accommodations and staff. Excellent location.

We stayed for 3 nights and were only met with wonderful, helpful staff. The concierge was extremely helpful when our flight was cancelled and we needed to make other arrangements for that night. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet, The location was perfect for being able to walk everywhere in Charleston and to reach the fabulous restaurants. We enjoyed the Nitrotinis and being up on the Pavillion rooftop bar. We hope to return again!

This is a great boutique with clean, comfortable, upscale rooms and amenities. Nice touches included complimentary NY Times and coffee & pastry service on each floor, eliminating the requirement to get dressed and go downstairs for breakfast. The valet and concierge staff were very helpful checking in / out and finding things to do nearby.

It was a great room and great location. Wonderful bar, lobby and restaurant.

Great hotel-->very clean and great location. Staff was great. Only problem was new valet who charged us for valet parking in addition to our overnight parking fee--seemed to be an honest mistake.

We went to Charleston for just a few days pre-Christmas break and stayed on the concierge level of the Market Pavilion Hotel, our first time to stay there despite numerous visits to Charleston, and they were extraordinary! From the doorman who welcomed us in and the bellman who retrieved our bags from the car to the front desk staff we felt like we were home from the moment we arrived. The dedicated concierge level staff were equally attentive, and the quality of the extras in the lounge such as afternoon tea and evening wine were beyond our expectations. We will definitely plan to stay there next time we're in Charleston.

Our room was spectacular. Large and well decorated. The GM of the property Mr. Wright was a great host and made sure we were comfortable. The staff at this hotel provided terrific service. Dinner at the 225 Grill was also wonderful. We will look forward to going back again.

Super everything first class. We really felt pampered roof top restaurant was great we had a nice lunch there

First class in EVERY way. Beautiful roof top bar, view and pool.

Hotel is located in the charming part of Charleston. Close to shopping, dinner and entertainment. Roof top bar has the best view of the town

Perfect location and beautiful hotel. Will stay again...

Elegant hotel. Walking distance to numerous resturants, shops and bars. Roof top pool and bar/resturant has great views. Very friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to return!

Hotel is in prime location for walking in downtown Charleston. Rooms are excellent, fine linens, comfortable beds. Historical feel and ambiance. Staff exceedingly. Polite and helpful. Would return

The Market Pavilion is an extemely well managed hotel with amazing staff. The location is great and the rooftop poo/bar/restaurant is a great place to relax and watch the river traffic. The concierge level is wonderful with hot breakfast, afternoon tea and snacks and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Amanda Ann, the concierge, is awesome!

From the moment we arrived the staff and room was exceptional. The location near events was perfect. No problems or recommendations. It rained and umbrellas were located in the rooms for guest's use. Would like to stay there again.
