Several weeks before our trip the hotel texted and asked what time we would arrive. I sent a prompt response. Later our plans changed, so I texted them on Feb 5th and said I would arrive between 8-9pm, but my husband would most likely arrive earlier. I provided his name and the hotel confirmed this was noted so that he could use the room. My husband arrived around 5pm and the front desk associate claimed because we booked through a third party they didn’t have my husband’s name noted. I was on a flight and could not be reached.
My husband had food poisoning and had to wait at the airport for three hours! When I arrived I told the front desk person I had made previous arrangements and she again blamed it on booking through a third party. I showed her the text where I was assured my husband’s name was on the reservation (and it was not sent through a third party). She apologized, but was rather flippant with a fake smile pasted on her face. It is a lovely inn, but I don’t stay in establishments where the front desk associates have a superior attitude with their guests.
