The housekeeping was the worst I have ever experienced from the beginning of our stay until the end. When we arrived, the bathroom was missing quite a few things. We had just one washcloth which was threadbare, no lotion, no bath mat, etc. The next day, we were out of our room from 9-4. When we got back, room hadn’t been cleaned. It wasn’t until after we left for dinner. Housekeeping left the wash clothes and lotion we requested but only one coffee for the morning (there were two of us) and just two towels, one of which was a proper bathe towel; the other was a torn and tattered pool towel which I photographed. It should have been in a rag bag. We never experienced a fully room that was fully stocked.

The sheets on the bed were moldy. Asked staff to come up to see it and they never arrived Have images.

Best hotel.

The location is very good. It is easily walkable to the major tourist areas, such as King Street, the waterfront, the historic district, etc. The staff were very helpful and prompt in their communications. I contacted them prior to my arrival with some requests, and they responded immediately. There is a restaurant and bar on the property with a small outdoor patio, however, it is not open every day; only Wed. through Sat. or Sun. I believe. It would be good if it was open every day. This may be due to Covid, I don't know. Also most restaurants in Charleston close early, around 9 PM.

Very nice property. I rated it slightly less due to some issues with the hot water. We told the front desk but it didn’t really get any better. I would take a cold tepid shower and then by the time my husband showered after me it was finally hot. Great location; walked all over the city. I was glad we ubered parking is very expensive everywhere downtown. Wonderful visit!

This place was perfect. The service. The hotel. All of it amazing!!! The moment you walked in it smelled like a spa. Highly recommend! ⭐️

Nice hotel. Great location. No room cleaning service or trash pickup due to Covid and multiple calls for additional towels. Understaffed.

The Renaissance is a great peoperry in a fantastic location in Charleston's historic district. They have a pool, fitness center, and are within walking distance of many if Charleston's sites.

Good location. Friendly staff. Nice bar area however they have one small TV so not good for watching sporting events.

Good location at reasonable cost. Poorly furnished rooms, no drawer storage, tiny closets, no luggage racks. Nice, large TV's with access to streaming services like Netflix. Nice, modern bathrooms. Dark, gloomy hallways. Poor, basic food services.

Friendly staff, nice fresh décor, comfortable room

Clean Hotel staff is attentive Good location for all activities

The hotel was nice and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I stayed for just one night and everything ran as expected. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff was nice and prestative. The location is very convenient, just a few steps of the main shopping área and with several restaurants in a short walking distance. It is also possible to walk from the hotel to some of the main tourist attractions. Would certainly stay again in a future visit to Charleston if the price keeps attractive.

Excellent stay! Ate at the Wentworth Grille and had a nice dinner.

My husband and I left the kids with their grandparents and escaped for an evening to Charleston. Our king room was very comfortable and we found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The bar/ lounge area was small but vozy and welcoming. Best of all, you are in walking distance of most of Charleston's fine dining and nightlife establishments.

The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We asked about selecting a tour and they offered to book it for us, no extra cost and hassle free! We had a great time, excellent location, extremely clean room, beautiful hotel. Great coffee/pastry and luncheonette across the street. Pool was in excellent condition, water clean. My wife and I highly recommend staying here.

Lack of staff on Easter weekend made our stay less than memorable. Bar staff was not sufficiently staffed. Upon arrival room was not what we had requested. Very loud hotel guests in the hallways late at night. Breakfast waitstaff could be better trained and show more alacrity at breakfast.
