Great location and staff. Hotel construction next door.

Hidden hotel charges, remote control did not work, have to call the front desk to clean my room, lost my kids toys at the pool and no disposable cups at bathroom.

Great location. Decent room. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Checkin was not difficult.

I arrived and immediately noticed the old decor. Once I got past this I only woke the next day to dead flees in the bed possibly from the extra blanket I pulled from the closet. I had to change rooms later had to have keys re activated 3 times. Last but not least after realizing I left shoes in the previous room I was told nothing could be done until the next morning hence my flight was in the morning. I however got a call at 7:45am to say it was found. The staff to say the least was not very accommodating.

This hotel is adequate, nothing grand about it but it serves its purpose. Staff was friendly, unlimited DVD rental is a nice perk. They also provided free tickets to area attractions which was nice. Room was very small but clean, except some mildew under bath faucet. I read a previous review complaining about the elevators and found that they are in fact very slow. We were only on the 3rd floor so we just took the stairs but it would be annoying if you were on a higher floor or unable to take the stairs.

Direct access to the beach and board walk. Everything else was substandard. Extremely outdated and the pictures on the site were misleading.

We stayed here because it was within walking distance of the reggae festival we were attending and the reviews on a different travel site made it seem like a nice place to stay. Here is what I did not realize when I booked this (quoted directly from the resort literature and has importance which will be explained below) - Bay View Resort is comprised of 280 individually owned units. ... We ask that each of our guests respect this environment and honor our property's No Tolerance Noise Policy. We rented through a travel site on April 8 and 9 and was given a room which is on the end of the resort facing the parking lot towards the Ferris wheel. The first night we could not sleep until about 3:00 am because the bars blare out music until 2:00 am then and you can hear ALL of the traffic complete with horn honking and loud bass. Not the property's fault but still not good for us. We had placed a request for a wake up call at 8:00 am and I set my alarm on my phone as a backup. First complaint - we never got the wake-up call. After a pot of coffee and spending the entire day at the festival, we decided to get a good night's rest and get up at 8:00 am to hit the road back home. Unfortunately for us, the permanent resident who owned the unit next door decided to party loudly with several of his buddies until 4:00 a.m. I knocked on the door twice and politely asked him to keep the noise down, but he translated that into make more noise. We complained to the front desk who basically couldn't help us because he owned the unit. Therefore, the NO Tolerance Noise Policy only applies to you, the guest, and not the owners of the units. We were told by the desk attendant that complaints of this nature will have to be handled through the homeowner's association and since we rented through a travel site, we have to complain to the travel site so that the travel site will complain to his manager. Does this process and experience appeal to anyone out there reading this? Our resolution - packed all of our stuff, hit the shower, packed the car and checked out by 4:45 am and never looked back. Had a great breakfast at Denny's and again consumed an entire pot of coffee for the 4 hour trip home. My wife and I had to stop several times on the road to keep awake but thankfully we made it home safe. The whole purpose of our stay was to have a room to sleep at night so we could enjoy our day at Myrtle Beach and the one thing we couldn't get was sleep. This was by far the most MISERABLE experience I have ever had at any resort/hotel. Where you stay in this resort is critical to your ability to sleep at night, so be informed before you arrive where your room will be. Also the pool is very popular with kids, and they tend to go up and down the elevators without drying off, so the elevators were very wet all the time. If you are parking a car be aware that the parking garage is about 1.5 blocks away and you will have to walk past some old motels where the people staying like to hang outside their rooms and yell down at you making you feel very uncomfortable. You will feel like running back to the hotel.

It was nice and clean. The room we had was really nice. The only bad thing was checkout morning. They have a tiny place for load up. Other than that I highly recommend it.

The only thing I didn't like was the room smelt like cigarette smoke. Either the sent coming from the other rooms or the person who had it before me smoked in the room.

be aware of road work right in front of motel the parking deck is a block away and our room ac did not work. we got to the motel and the room we booked was not ready but they had plenty of different rooms they could put us in and the room we had to settle with was so small the balcony was too small to sit and enjoy did have a good view, our bathroom lights didn't work we had to trip the breakers in our room to get them working, room so hot had to leave balcony door cracked to get some cool air ended up leaving after one night and going home. will not rent here again we love myrtle beach come down every year.

Had a great time with the grandkids, had fun in the pool ,loved the free movie rental ,we had a long walk on the boardwalk. Clean and comfortable room

Nice Resort in a prime location! The staff was wonderful. The parking is a block away but the shuttle driver is extremely accommodating, not an issue at all.

We had cock roaches in the first room and it didn't look like anyone cleaned the room. We had to request another room which was much better but they have baby roaches so that just means their everywhere. They need an extremenator.
