Staff was very slow. No room service for coffee before 9am

Horrible experience. Had to keep calling the front desk for towels that would never come. Had an issue with the toilet and waited 3 hours until I finally went and found a plunger myself to fix it. We were celebrating our wedding and it was overall just a trash experience. The view was literally of a brick wall outside our room and the hallway reeked of marijuana. The front desk also tried to charge us for room service for an adjacent room. Wouldn’t go back ever again.

Great place in the middle of everything

This hotel had a great style and ambiance. The staff as a whole were very helpful. The pictures of the rooms were not helpful in choosing which to book. We booked a standard room and when we arrived the room was the size of a jail cell and the window overlooked a wall of a/c units for almost $400 per night! No where to put foldable clothing and only a small rack with a few hangers for hangable clothes. No closet and nowhere to store luggage. This room is only usable for an overnight stay. When we called to ask if there was a larger room available for our 7 night stay we were sent new key cards and no help with luggage. The front desk did not communicate with us the additional cost of the larger room. When I looked on my credit card app they charged an additional $700!!! I believe that should have been communicated with us. Additionally, during our stay we asked for tissues and room cleaning service and twice we were forgotten. Yes, you have to request housekeeping. Small thing but, there is no in room coffee maker.

Beautiful room

Great place to stay while visiting Charleston! In the middle of everything!

The decor in the room looked like it came from a clearance sale of odds and ends. The open hanging storage was straight out of motel 6.....who wants to look at their hanging clothes right next to the TV at the foot of the bed? The bar was closed when we arrived due to private party that was very noisy.

Short staffed

Gorgeous hotel and great staff! We highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there again anytime we visit Charleston!

Everything was beautiful and the staff was amazing! The bed was really comfy and the bath was spacious, I wish I used the soak in tub more than once though! We will definitely be back (and we already have planned to stay one more night before we leave SC, we can’t wait!) The only issue we had was the kitchen closed a bit before the restaurant did. But thankfully we were able to find something in walking distance.

The Emeline was more beautiful than we anticipated. The staff was out of this world. We will be back.

Is a very special place if you are celebrating something special.

The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. They upgraded our room upon arrival because it was our anniversary. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and memorable. Definitely returning!

We apologize for your dissatisfaction Bret - while we don't have room service available that early, we do offer complimentary coffee at Frannie & The Fox between 6am-930am for our early risers!
