Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome at the hotel. The location is a bit further from the Historic District but it isn't too far and is still easily accessible.

Stayed there for a bachelor party. Pool area was nice and comfortable. The cafe had good food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I think it's a nice place it just had the feel to me of an upgraded motor lodge. It was cold so the nice outdoor area was unusable. The inside is new but plain and they charge you a fee to get into downtown on the half hour minivan. I felt more like I was staying at an airport hotel. I don't want to mislead anyone it's very very nice. Just no charm other than the yacht harbor.

We visited 4th of July weekend so it was a full house and had 2 wedding parties there as well. Staff was great they allowed us to request a balcony room and came through. We had issues with the toilet and told the front desk the first 2 days of our stay. The piece in the back of toilet was getting stuck and wouldn't fill with water. The maintenance came each time, and thought they fixed it however the issue was intermittent and conveniently working when they came up. They gave us free breakfast and shuttle for our inconvenience and on the last night when it was no longer a full house upgraded us to a suite room. All in all, yes we had an on going issue but the hotel staff was super nice and helpful. It's a beautiful clean hotel overlooking a marina. Very relaxing and not loud in room even with it being a full house. The shuttle brings you to 1 location but is very convenient to anywhere you would walk. The drivers were awesome and helpful recommending places. Breakfast was good and had a lot of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Second visit here in the last several months . Killer view from the upper deck over the pool. Room was spotless .Free garage parking more than pays for the $7 cab fare to King Street.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was nice and large-the staff very friendly and helpful. If the price is right, I will stay here again on my next visit to Charleston.

I was happy and pleased with the room and staff...I was very impressed with the view from the pool and lounge area.... every evening was a beautiful view of the sunset.

This hotel was ok. The best asset was definitely the deck and pool overlooking boats docked on the river. Breakfast was very average and not included so it was overpriced. The room we were in was for a king size bed but was tiny otherwise, but it was cleaned and serviced well. No movies to rent on the TVs. It's a short drive to the downtown area, like 10 minutes so that wasn't too inconvenient and about 20 minute drive to Folly Beach, which we really enjoyed. The elevator was the slowest I have ever been on in my life, it must be really old and is not air conditioned. I would think those should be replaced ASAP. The carpeting overall for the whole hotel was outdated as well. The whole place had a bit of a dingy feel to it, but considering we were mostly out and about around town it was satisfactory for our purposes.

The first thing I'll say is all the staff was fantastic and all were willing to help with any need. While it seemed like an older building, mostly everything was well cared for and in good shape. It's location on the river by the marina made for nice views while relaxing by the pool. Downtown was just a short drive or the hotel has a shuttle for a fee. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Booked last minute and found a great location for the price in downtown Charleston.

From our arrival on a Thursday evening to our departure on that following Sunday, the staff did so much to welcome us and assure our comfort as their guests. An easy and smooth check-in was the first sign that we had made a good choice in hotels. The warm personal greetings set the right tone for the rest of our stay and we are much in their debt for the extra courtesies, such as the great recommendations on where to eat, that helped us relax and enjoy our trip. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. The room was light and airy as well as clean and comfortable. The "only" thing that wold have made the hotel a "little" better for us would be to have had later hours in the restaurant. It's nice to snack at night while you sit outside. I thank all of the Marriott Waterfront staff on a job superbly performed and for creating a wonderful impression of Charleston hospitality. We look forward to our next return with happy anticipation.

Very convenient for our wedding weekend with friends

The view of the marina from the balcony was amazing and I'd have to say my biggest complaint were the pillows---too firm!

Loved the M&M's and pretzels at the counter, a nice treat; but the room was tiny and the bathroom was really outdated. Barely enough room for both of us with our stuff. That said, very nicely appointed, very clean, awesome bed. Would probably pick a Marriott closer to town next time.

Overall the hotel was great. My only complaint was that for four people is was a little small. The staff was more than amazing! The view was great as well.

A little older hotel. The hotel and rooms are clean. Grounds are well kept. The staff is nice and friendly. Coffee bar seems to always be open. The room was comfortable with a nice view of the harbor. Free parking is definetly a PLUS. About one mile to downtown. Easiest way to get around is with a car. I would stay here again.

The outdoor hotel pool, though shallow, was nice. The hot tub was hot but didn't produce any bubbles. The rooms were the best feature of the hotel -- roomy, clean, comfortable. The location is the only downside. Other than some interesting running across the nearby bridges, there's nothing exciting that can be reached on foot from the hotel.

We booked two rooms, one for my husband and me and the other for our two adult children. We requested one room with a king bed and the other with two queens. We were given two rooms with king beds, so my son ended up sleeping on the couch. For the price we paid ($600), we felt this was ridiculous. The staff was not friendly or helpful about this situation. The location of the hotel was not good either, we had to take taxis or use the shuttle, which Is an extra charge. The breakfast was terrible, but was also an extra charge. We would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

There is no restaurant at all on the property and in order to eat anything for dinner you have to take a 6.00 shuttle that only comes every 30 min. After waiting for it for 45 min I found out that it was not coming. I then had to take a taxi for 25.00 to eat dinner. That same night I was awakened by a yelling, cursing man in the hallway with subsequent fighting, yelling and door banging for over 1 hour. Approx 1.5 hours later I was awakened by yet another yelling man in the hallway with door banging and excessive cursing. IN total the hallway was worse than Grand Central Station from 1-3 AM. In the morning I was told that the GM would call me regarding a refund and they never bothered to do so. It was one of the worst nights of "sleep" that I have ever gotten. I would not stay here again! I would be through the roof angry had my children been exposed to this situation!!!
