For the most part, this hotel is good. It is older and could use some updates, but it is clean and the staff is nice. Very close to the boardwalk and beach and places to eat nearby. Liked the hot tubs too. The oceanview rooms are the best.

Smokers in the stairwells (fire escapes) day and night (loud talking and smoke getting in room at 3:00a.m.) and chain smokers along the 1st floor with chairs lined against the building with continuous smoke floating upwards to balconies above. The people at the front desk said they"could'nt do anything about it because the city's property went to the edge of their building." I went to our room and cancelled our reservations for 2 rooms in June 2026. The parking shortage will not make you happy if you stay at Holiday Sands North, either.

The beach view from my balcony was amazing but the strong smell of bleach and cleaning products when I checked into my room was a bit overpowering so I had the door open to the balcony my entire stay. There were patched holes on the ceiling as well as by the baseboards to the balcony. But check-in and checkout was so easy, great staff up front and they even have a restaurant in the south building that will deliver your food to the door. I’ll definitely be booking again when I decide to do a solo trip :)
