The hotel was great and there is a free shuttle that makes several stops in various parts of downtown Charleston. Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful and able to answer all of our questions. Next time I'm in the area I will def be staying here

Hotel was quite convenient for our needs. We wanted to see historic Charleston, but also wanted to visit the Mansions and several Audubon sites for birding. The hotel offered a free shuttle into the historic district several times a day. Being that the hotel was not downtown meant that it was easier to access. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant had incredible views of Charleston and the harbor. We watched the dolphins in the harbor and the egrets landing in the wetlands below each morning along with a very nice breakfast buffet. Diners and bar were OK too, but basic. It had a pool outdoors as well, but we did not manage to get there.

Was a nice clean comfortable room. Was unfortunate that the balconys are locked.

Poorly run hotel. Am a female marathon runner in town for an early morning interview and read on the website that the gym was available 24/7. Not going to run outside in the dark in an unknown city. At 5 am the morning of my interview, was interrupted on a machine by an unapologetic staff member who told me to come back at 6 am when it opened. Interview at the med center started soon after that so 6 wouldn't work for me. Was told a baby sleeping next door was awake and fussy from the noise of the gym. Baby shouldn't be placed in a room right next to the gym by hotel staff and hotel should have its hours policies straight for guests who like to be active for stress relief before important job interviews. Will not stay here again.

Rooms were not as roomy as expected and beds weren't that comfortable. The hotel's rooftop bar is nice.

Nice hotel. Rooms with a view of the harbor are $20 more and worth it in my opinion. Restaurant at the top has a great view but is an average at best restaurant. Parking lot stinks but it's easy to get in and out via 17. Super close to downtown. This price/location value cannot be beat.

Hotel staff were very nice. Location is great as its a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were a bit shabby and we were located across the hall from the ice machine which was very loud.

Some positives and some negatives about this hotel just as previous reviews stated. Positives: Centrally located to historic downtown area. Free shuttle to downtown Nice view from restaurant Free wifi and free parking Negatives: The room and bath shows it's age but was fine for us, Traffic can get noisy because of highway 17 on both sides of the hotel. Breakfast is just average for the price but you're paying for the view and atmosphere. One of the front desk staff seemed put out by my tourist questions. Other staff was fine.

Good location, easy access to downtown area about a 7 minute drive. Hotel is older but maintained. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds.

No, I don't have time. I'm starting to get irritated.

The staff was quite courteous.Restaurant great.overall wonderful stay.

great people great location. room were clean and nice . food was good to

It was a very relaxing weekend. The staff was very helpful and polite. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anybody

I stayed at the Holliday inn several years ago and loved everything about it but, this time, it wasn't the same. There was a full size bed in the room to accommodate my 11 year old son and myself. Too small. The shower curtain was way too short. The shower head was dripping and half of the entire bathroom floor was wet. There was a mere rubber strip across the shower floor to stop water from running out which did not work. The towels were replaced the next day but no coffee etc was placed back in the room. I had to go down to the lobby to fetch, coffee, cups, creamer and stir sticks. At dinner, I wanted a glass of wine but did not get it at happy hour price because the dining room and bar do not work together. The staff and front desk staff was very nice and helpful but the dining room staff seemed to not know what to do. I would stay there again but will make sure to get a bigger bed or 2 beds.

Great location. Its close to the city and a short drive to Folly

I booked a room at the Holiday Inn-Riverview this Saturday. We had a great time watching the Riverdogs fireworks from the hotel restaurant. The next day we laid out by the pool overlooking the Charleston Harbor. We plan to stay again in the near future.

The hotel was in need of some updating, but the room was clean. Our very inappropriate encounter checking in at the front desk has prompted me to contact Holiday Inn corporate, and we will not ever be returning.

The view from the restaurant was fantastic! However, wished we had a better room. The patio door was closed but we still felt a draft and could hear the cars from the 10th floor . The room was not worth the rate we paid but the view from the restaurant made up for it.

Awesome hotel in a PERFECT location. If you stay here (even if you don't), be sure to head to the bar at the top for a few drinks- best view in Charleston!

I liked the staffs friendliness and location so much. It was very convenient to visit Charleston. Hotel's shuttle was very good for visitors like me.

Dear Julia, Thank you for letting us know about your stay. I apologize the inconveniences you encountered, I know how frustrating that can be. On the website we have that our front desk is open 24/7. We only have on the website that we have a gym available, with no posted hours. I do apologize however for the "unapologetic staff member". I have forwarded your comments to the appropriate staff so they can learn how to handle a situation like this better. Thank you again for letting us know about your stay.

Therefore, the rooms are shaped different than normal hotel rooms. We are pleased that you enjoyed our bar area. We hope you will stay with us again when you are in the Charleston area.
