Really liked that room was a suite. Let me go to sleep while my husband stayed up to watch tv in the other room. Didn't like that fact that our room did not have a shower curtain when we checked in. Called front desk, desk clerk advised she would try to locate. I told her that I was going to bed and someone could bring in a.m. She stated that she would leave a note for housekeeping to bring shower curtain to us in a.m. Never saw shower curtain. Ended up taking a shower with nozzle pointed towards inside wall of shower. Told front desk clerk when we checked out.

My room was covered in ants! My bed was made with stained sheets and had a comforter with a urine stain on it! We stripped the bed, called the front desk and requested new sheets. The next day the bed was remade with the original stained sheets and comforter. I will NEVER return or recommend this hotel. Also, the front desk attendant during the morning/afternoon was very rude and unfriendly. If you don’t like your job, QUIT!

Took about 20 minutes to actually find someone in the hotel (this was around 5 pm). Nobody at check in counter. Even called number and it just continued running. Other people without a reservation actually left. I had one so I had to wait. People were swimming and wet running through the lobby and nobody around. Finally someone came to check me in. Didn't seem to care though.

My room was dirty, with broken and stained furniture. My towels were not replaced my entire stay. No utensils or dishware in the kitchen. Overall terrible experience. If I could rate less than a 1, I definitely would but that's not an available option.

Rooms were in process of being remodeled...furniture and rooms were in dire need of repair/remodeling... and they were working on it... no construction complaints from me... service and staff were great

I was looking for a room big enough for 3 adults and 2 kids. This room was a good deal cheaper than those nearby, so I took a chance. I knew from other reviews that I needed to keep my expectations low, but I was still disappointed. Plus: the room had the space we needed, and luckily we had brought a blow up twin mattress for my daughter, because Minus: the sofa bed was in AWFUL condition. Plus: The two queen beds were fine and the sheets seemed clean. TVs in the bedroom and living room area, which is good with two kids and multiple adults. Plus: The bathroom was clean, but Minus: we only got 3 towels for 5 people. Worst of all: When I contacted the front desk, I was told housekeeping had left for the day and there were no more clean towels! What?!? I asked the front desk clerk to please phone someone, as we needed a towel for each person to shower, but I never heard anything back from the front desk at all. I also booked this place because of the indoor pool, and promised my kids we would swim. Plus: The pool existed and was open, but Minus: It was freezing, and again, NO TOWELS! Should have brought my own. We swam about 15 minutes, til our lips turned blue and we headed to our room for a warm shower. Plus: 5 people in a row took a shower and I never ran out of hot water. Last, but not least, the free breakfast was delicious, including some hot items such as bacon, so we were happy with that. Hope this was descriptive enough to let you make an informed decision!

Room was dirty, furniture was all run down and not clean. Desk draw was broken and held together with tape. The couch was really old and dirty. The room came with a kitchenette with no plates or silverware and the cabinets were terribly run down, yuk!

No tissues in bathroom, only one roll of toilet paper. The signal on the TV went in and out. Front desk people not very friendly.

The hotel stay could have been better. Cleaning staff didn’t give us towels 2 of the 4 nights we stayed after cleaning the room. After leaving for the day I got back to the room and my room door was left open (not shut all the way) after it had been cleaned, luckily none of my things were missing. The computer didn’t offer printing services other than 1 copy of what you needed and the hotel charges you the complete incidental fee as a deposit rather than waiting until you leave. We also had to be ready by 10 for a few of the days because the hot water heaters were being fixed. Lastly, check out was not until 11 and maid services came by around 9:45 to check if we had left. When making a trip to my car, the maid tried to enter the room before we had checked out again. Definitely didn’t enjoy this experience at the hotel but Charleston was beautiful!

The facilities were clean, orderly. The parking is adequate, but no surplus room for parking space width and the distance back-to-back. Our 2004 Envoy XUV is longer than the newer SUV or XUV, and has limited view to the rear. It was difficult to estimate distances. The room size was very roomy. The bed was comfortable, and roomy. The heat/AC was like a central HVAC unit for the room. The area was separated into two areas with the Microwave, refrigerator and counter space being between. The bedroom area had it's own door to the king size bedroom. The breakfast was ample, Belgian Waffles, toast, 3 cold and 4 hot cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy 3 varieties of cold juices, regular, dark roast and caffeine-free coffees. More than enough to keep you from breakfast to, and past the noon meal should the situation arise.

The first room #218 had several roaches. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and changed my room immediately to 318 however I was still uncomfortable for the night.

From the moment I checked in I figured this might not have been a good idea. The front desk woman was not very nice. The room was hot when I went into it. Not a big deal but the thermostat had no instruction and did not work well. I awoke at 3 am to a freezing cold room and could not get the thermostat to work. The shower was dirty looking so I left I very early without even showering. Just a horrible experience.

I expected a better quality hotel in nicer surroundings. The hotel needed some upgrades, but the extra sitting room was nice.
