Great stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We cooked several meals and found the house to have all the necessary items for doing so. The beach chairs were in excellent condition as were the porch chairs and tables. The golf carts were in excellent condition and we appreciated the rain cover on the one evening we had rain! We would highly recommend this property.

Great location and communication

Well kept property, great communication before and during stay, amazing location! Just one thing to be aware of, the direct beach access is a steep climb over the dune. Elderly or those with compromised mobility will not make it over. But there is a public access with stairs next door. Everyone in our group did just fine and we loved the house!

Great vacation spot!

We had a lovely stay at ‘About the View’. House was very clean, great kitchen and comfy beds. Location is right on the beach which we loved. You can’t see the ocean from the patio rocking chairs as the dunes have grown but the breeze and sunsets outside are lovely. Property manager was great to communicate with. Would recommend and are looking forward to returning next summer.

so nice

The property was amazingly clean and well appointed with every conceivable household item required. The only complaint was from my seven year old "daddy, this is the slowest golf cart on the whole island" Ha! Would highly recommend this property to others, great views, ease of access to everything and all the tv's worked.

Fantastic House and Location

Beautiful house right on the beach, exactly as advertised, stocked with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful trip. Super kitchen, comfy beds, bathrooms that could handle multiple showers at the same time without any pressure or heat issues. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. In fairness to future guests, there is a brand new house being built directly behind this one, so there is some weekday construction noise.

Sand and sanctuary

We absolutely loved our stay. The management is attentive, but not overbearing. The home is exactly as beautiful and peaceful as advertising. The kitchen and bedrooms are cozy and well-appointed. And the beach, well, the beach is the best part. We would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a comfortable and gorgeous home.

Great location

Beautiful house very close to BHI Club. The deck is very spacious, but the dunes do block the view of the ocean. Well stocked house and great to have 6 person golf cart so the whole family could ride together.

Location Second to None!

If you want to be on the beach, you can't find a better home. It is in the dunes with a short track over the dunes to the waterfront. Great glass windows on east, south and west. Great four sides of outdoor deck. Vacant lot on either side adding to privacy. Renovations are tastefully done and a great beach setting. Everything is up to date. Overall a very good rental property. AC welcome requirement. Two minutes to BHI Club which we joined for dining, pool, and golf.

Wonderful Place - highly recommend

About The View is exactly as advertised - although the main family room area is more glorious from sunrise to sunset than pictures can adequately portray. Perfectly located on an uncrowded section of South Beach there are only a few steps from the house to the beach, and a short walk/cart ride to the BHI Club. The kitchen is appointed with everything you need, which is important because once you get there you won’t want to leave. The manager Mike Bouzell is wonderful - very prompt and reliable communication. He was patient with our every stupid question! As a VRBO premier partner I have very high standards and this property impressed me!

Week to remember

The X Factor

We were delighted with the location. Beach front views were terrific with a private path directly onto the beach. We were within walking distance of the BHI Club and its facilities, which will clearly be terrific when the ongoing renovation is completed. The accommodations were clean and well appointed. But as first time visitors, the X Factor which motivated us to rent this home was the responsiveness and helpfulness of the local property manager Mr. Boozell. He was very helpful answering our questions about the various facilities on the island and the property both before and after we committed to the rental. We had no doubt that if an issue arose during our stay, Mr. Boozell would be promptly responsive. This was the deciding factor in renting this home versus others we inquired about where management was less responsive.

Perfect spot with views for days!

We had a lovely getaway. Mike was extremely attentive in checking in with us, though we did not need a thing. Everything was perfect. The home has tremendous views and you can step right out to the beach!
