This property is what everyone says. The hotel is not luxury but is steps from the action downtown and has a pool for the kids. It is also steps from the city bus terminal if you want to venture outside of downtown but don't want to walk the steep elevation climbs and drops of Asheville.

Old and a bit run down, but the location is excellent and the price is right. If you aren't picky about your lodging and you want to be in walking distance to everything downtown, this is the place for you.

It was convenient, affordable, well-appointed, clean, well serviced and efficiently run.

Staff is great

The location is great but the place needs a serious facelift. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

Parking was shoehorn tight, like if we left there was no way a spot would be there when we got back. The hotel is on a very busy street, which the windows overlooked. Keeping the curtains opened meant anyone could look directly into our room. The amenities were gross. The pillows and mattress were very uncomfortable. Just a sad experience overall, especially for the money

Located in the Center of Everything we wanted to do. The only downside was the street noise at night, but being on a main throughfare in the middle of Downtown it is to be expected.

we just stayed for 1 night so it was perfect

This is perfectly priced for the downtown asheville area. Room cleanliness exceeded expectations. Strong water pressure. Comfortable beds. Go here.

Proximity to downtown was fabulous.

Great location right downtown. Room was in decent condition. I wasnt expecting a 5 star place based on the price and it wasn't. That said it was a good stay and a good value.

This place is a dump. Worse than any of the lower priced motels. And it cost 200 including tax. Very limited parking, weird procedures (insisted on ID from everyone in the party, 5 dollar charge for not returning the key) Very basic rundown rooms using an air freshner to mask the musty moldy air. Curt staff, singulary unhelpful. AC did not work at all.Decrept building. Honestly, the worst place I have stayed in 65 years There is nothing on the website to indicate how bad and rundown it is. I would have gladly paid 100 dollars more for one of the chain hotels

Place is a dump, but it’s clean enough snd cheaper than other downtown hotels. I’m sure that someday soon it’ll be sold, knocked down and replaced with a far more expensive hotel. Until then, enjoy a barely adequate, relatively cheap stay in downtown Asheville.

I liked that the room was clean, clean bedding. I also liked the onsite parking and the location to downtown.

Although the location was excellent the hotel really needs to be pressure washed inside and out

This hotel is certainly neither modern nor luxurious. The location is perfect. We stayed here on a multi-day cycling trip and this hotel was the best -- and the cheapest. Five USB ports in the room. A full breakfast. All appliances and amenities in working order. A room that was clean. Right in the middle of downtown. Definitely would stay again.

The property is very close to restaurants, bars, breweries and shopping. The room was clean and equipped with everything you need for a weekend or even longer stay. It has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, safe, ironing board, hair dryer and tv. Breakfast was adequate with waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit, coffee, juice and microwave breakfast sandwiches. We did not use the pool though because we were too busy exploring the area. This hotel is about 8 minutes from the Biltmore estate ticket office. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location! Room had been recently renovated.

Great location! Great price! Hotel is a bit old but overall very clean and great price for the downtown location. A few minute walk to everything.

We have installed new RFID electronic lock on all of our guest room doors. We have also installed new heating/ ac mini split units in all our rooms at the cost of $450,000. We have installed a new roof on the main building at a cost of $250,000. We have installed fiber Internet services at the cost of $30,000. We have installed a fire sprinkler system and alarm system at the cost of $350,000. We have installed a new stairway tower at the cost of $600,000. We have also remodeled our breakfast area at the cost of $50,000. We have also replaced the lobby floor, lobby furniture, and lobby pictures. Thank you for staying with us. Our location provides easy and immediate access to all of Asheville’s unique downtown area. Unfortunately, that also means it comes with standard city noise.
