Nice and clean hotel. the staff is friendly also the restaurant staff.

Staff here are amazing. So friendly and helpful. Would come back for that alone! But the recently remodelled hotel has a lodge feel that is charming too.

Newly and beautifully renovated w/ balconies. It's only a few moments away from Downtown with shuttle service to and fro every 30 minutes.

Stayed in this place years ago. This used to be a Holiday Inn then a Hilton. Little has changed. Apparently no one wants to fix up the rooms. New lobby and entrance, meeting space and spa area.. Very nice. Rooms are not. Pet friendly may be the reason. Shower head too low for anyone over 5'5". No bathroom vent fan.(not sure how they get away with that)Sliding door to outside grounds unable to close fully. Left 1" gap open all night. Not sure if this is just Ashville but within 5 minutes there greeted with pot smoke from a mother on her 2nd floor balcony. Beds were good. Staff friendly and $5 downtown shuttle is nice, but when driver leaves you with instructions for pick up that are wrong on a very cold windy night, that is not good. We had to walk 2 blocks back to where we just were. No apologies given by staff. Only given 2 breakfast passes even though 4 in room, for a breakfast that is usually free, such as my last stay in nice, new hotel in downtown Nashville. Freeway and roads impede ease of access to hotel. Cat litter boxes and general trash left in hallways. Location was within 15 minutes or less of Biltmore/Blue ridge parkway/and downtown.

The hotel is going through some renovations and the lobby looks great, though our pet-friendly room seemed to not yet have been renovated. However, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. It looked like the door was falling out of the frame which caused a bit of noise to travel as well as noise from the room above. Overall, I'd recommend and return to the hotel based on location and of course, the lower price point compared to other chains.

Great hotel. Very close to downtown. Have stayed here several times have always had a great experience. It is an older hotel with great character. The hotel staff has always been helpful and accomidating. The only reason I gave an over all score of 4, currently are going through a huge remodel. Once it is complete it will definitely be a 5.

Short stay. Hotel perfect for the visit to downtown. Not in the town center but close. Geography makes it necessary to drive or shuttle to town center even though it is less than one mile away.

The staff were so helpful and a delight! From the front desk to the grounds personnel, they were polite and went out of their way to answer any questions.

Room was very clean and nice extras. The hotel is not within walking distance to downtown.

The carpet was dirty, the shower head hung out of the wall when trying to move it and tiles on the shower had mold. We ordered room service only to realize the room only had one chair but two beds!

cool place to stay. it was last minute fun. it was the best of the options available.

Quiet and secluded, very clean room. Helpful employees, I would definitely stay there again.

Overall, the hotel was nice and convenient to downtown Asheville, but nothing special. No decent coffee available and the mediocre stuff provided in the lobby was perpetually empty. Grrr.

Acceptable accommodations for business travel. I have stayed here once before and probably will do so again if the opportunity arises.

It wasn't bad, but DEFINITELY NOT a 4 STAR hotel!!! I won't return here. Mattresses in a very bad shape. Room really outdated, old and a serious lack of maintenance at least at ours. Not at the lobby though.

this is a great hotel to spend then night while visiting the biltmore house located within 10 minutes of the hotel. you can also save money on tickets to the house if you need a two day pass. i highly recommend two days since the grounds are enormous and the house takes an entire day by itself. if you aren't there for the biltmore house, the hotel comes with a golf course and tennis courts.

Loved the hotel!! I was worried with the location that we would miss out on the downtown area feel- but not at all! They made us feel right at home from the moment we got there- took care of all my special request and even we above and beyond to help make this a great weekend for me and my friend! We have already started talking about bringing the husbands back soon!!!

My Wife and I are local business owners in Asheville and we had a water main issue at our home so we needed a place to stay for 2 nights. Awesome staff, clean hotel and pretty nice grounds. A nice room to come back to after a hard day at work.

Good location and staff very helpful. Would stay here again.

Very comfortable being a single person. All staff was friendly and accommodating. Bar personnel and food was friendly and very good. I will return.
