Great Stay

Short family trip to the beach with the kids before school starts. This place was perfect and the kids loved the pool. It was open until 10pm so we would enjoy our adventures in OBX during the day and spend the evening at the pool. We will definitely be back and will stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like was that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear all the neighbors.

Maybe it was just the timing, but it took 2 hours aftet regular check in time to finally be checked in. It was good regardless. I just wish that it was checked in sooner, to fully enjoy the amenities. I had to constantly keep checking my phone every 15 to 30 mins.

Be clear: check in starting at 4 DOES NOT mean you may get your room at 4pm. We arrived for pre-check in at 3pm and were told we may not have our room ready on time because they were busy and understaffed. We were permitted to use the facilities but did not get into our room until almost 7pm. Needless to say, I was frustrated. I tried contacting Expedia and was transferred from person to person and eventually told it was my fault because I wasn't physically there (I was) and that I had chosen to pay at the facility there wasn't much they could do. I then had 2 experiences at the front desk. One staff member (name excluded) kept saying that I didn't understand because the island is busy and it is check in day. I said I understood that and was understanding of understaffing but she was becoming visibly upset with me for expressing my frustration at the lack of clarity at booking and also became increasingly rude. I then was able to speak with Melissa who was much more helpful. Melissa listened and was kind and we were able to find a fair solution. The suite itself was amazing and definitely worth a stay if they can get the turnover figured out. Beds were comfy, bathrooms clean and the space was nice overall.

Every thing was really good only negative is the outdoor pool had to be closed 24 hours. Not the facilities fault but kids were disappointed. Used the indoor pool instead.

Quick Family Weekend Trip

Great resort for a quick family weekend trip before school starts! We tried to make the best of the amenities since we were there for a short time. It is based in the woods so a few small centipedes in the bathrooms we had to keep killing, but otherwise overall clean. Close to necessary stores and restaurants anyone would need. Easy check in process and very responsive to needs via their text service! We will likely return with family! The kids enjoyed it as well.

The only downside was the tenants above our unit on 2nd floor had little children running around in late hours of the evening. I would recommend having tenants with younger children reserved on the first floor.

A Hidden Gem!

We were only here for one night but it was lovely! The staff was amazing, the suite was roomy and comfortable and the amenities convinced us to come back with the whole family for a weekend getaway!

The staff were helpful and kind. The property was beautiful, the room was great! The pool area was gorgeous with the toddler area set off to the side, which for us was ideal. My toddler boys really enjoyed our recent vacation and we very likely found our yearly vacation destination!

We loved the fact that this property was tucked back in the woods and a shorr drive to the beach. The only downside to our stay was we wish they had a broom and dust pan in the room to sweep up sand that comes home with you. When we return we will most likely stay here again.
