Holiday Inn Raleigh Downtown - Capital

Inexpensive and great hotel within walking distance of downtown Raleigh. All of the facilities for the wedding weekend were downtown, it all went down perfectly!! Liked to be back someday and would stay here again.

Nice room, comfortable bed, quiet. Hotel in good location to State government buildings and travel (greyhound, Amtrak). Only negatives is there is no fridge which isn't a big deal but I like to have somewhere to store drinks and you have to pay for parking.

Found this hotel to be close to everything we needed. The price was better than the competition nearby and we were just as happy here! Will be booking here again!

Bath rooms are very very small...good place for a 1-2 night stay but small Bath room gets old. Great location!!

Staycation to the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival. Awesome! Had to be one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Great location to all of downtown Raleigh attractions. Breakfast was included, but we did not receive our coupon in our packet. Brenda, the waitress, took care of it with the front desk and we were able to enjoy the views from the 20th floor without interruption. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

1. Did not like sink near outside door Not Behind bathroom door with tub. 2. Food all fried. Salad had flying sandflies. Showed chef other dead fly in salad. Not offered alternative.

I paid for breakfast at booking without realizing it didn't start until 6:30 on the 20th floor. I had 7 o'clock meetings 10 minutes away. I have Type I diabetes so I have to have breakfast and I should have refrigeration for my medications, maybe yogurt to have for breakfast. Lots of promises, no help. One extremely cheerful person suggested I could just be late for my meeting. In the hotel guide, the information about travel to the airport is just crossed off. Very sloppy.

Check in was fast and friendly, even though we arrived early. Parking was convenient, but note there is a fee. Room was well appointed and very clean. Beds were comfortably firm. View was great. Location was A+ right in the downtown area, close to the State Capitol, many historic sites and the bulk of the restaurants and nightlife. We felt very safe wandering around in the evening. Will definitely return if in the area again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Also, the staff was very helpful. The location is right in the middle of downtown.

I only stayed for a night so it was good enough but I was woken up multiple times throughout the night by people in the hallways.

This was a great stay. Quiet, clean rooms and friendly staff.

Awesome trip. Great location, great view, and friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back.

Is a good in between for our trip that included a bunch of downtown shopping and eating and nighttime comedy show. Walked the whole thing. Some longer walks but its a safe city. Clean and nice hotel.

We got to this hotel where we booked 2 rooms for 1 night, the rooms were unfortunately 5 floors apart. My sons room had issues with the temperature and it was uncomfortably hot. In the morning we found we were charged for a bar bill that was not ours and the desk clerk indicated that it had to be ours. I took the issue up with the manager on duty who said he would look into it and call me later in the day. He never called. I did get the issue taken care of by another manager after we got home. We had planned on having breakfast in their top floor restaurant but the bar bill experience left a bad taste in our mouths, so we went elsewhere. On the more positive side, the Science Museum was awesome, free and within walking distance.

My experience was fine. The room was small, but it was doable.

Great location. Nice lounge. So much to do within walking distance.

We went the State Fair and the Holiday Inn was a perfect location for us.

This hotel is in a great location close to lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Wonderful location and very comfortable. Nice staff.

Hotel was surprisingly nice for an older property. Don't be fooled by the round appearance on the outside. The inside is spacious, very clean and comfortable. A great value in the middle of Raleigh!
