The location was great. We didn't rent a car, so it was very important to be close to the beach and restaurants. We were with kids and they loved the location as well. Right across the street there is a large grass area so we could seat in the restaurant outside and watch our kids play ball. The rooms were a little tight for a family of 4 but we only stayed 2 nights and we spent our time outside. We went to the pool once which is on a roof of another hotel. It was a short walk and it was clean. The staff was very nice and greeted us with extra bottles of water which was great after a long flight. We also received voucher for a welcome drink in a restaurant next door. The Uber ride from the Miami airport was about 30 minutes.

SBWFF Get Away Weekend

A nice hotel for a weekend getaway. The room was comfortable. Walking distance from Lincoln Road and hop skip and jump to the beach. Also, to the SBWFF. My only complaint was the food voucher for next door. The breakfast was cold and not appetizing

Front desk help was polite. We were put in a very small room with a queen bed the first night. We requested king bed. We tried to eat the free breakfast on the first morning. They forgot about us and we waited over an hour only to attempt cold eggs and potatoes that were so salty I could not eat them, We did not receive any room service all 3 nights we were there! I would not stay there again! I would not recommend this hotel!

There is mold growing on the walls of room 215 and the bathroom has mold and mildew in the shower. The window shades were broken. And the ceiling in the lobby had water damage and pieces falling off of it.

The check in and staff was okay but it says that breakfast its included and hotel has pool, so the breakfast was in the restaurant next to them and i was waiting for 1 hour to get breakfast done and they didnt want to give me a table(we were 6) they said come in an hour but i saw after me thenpeople who check in they got table, the food was bad everything was cold and waiting long time to order, the pool was in their sisters hotel and i was supposted to go with elevator to 3rd floor then go by stairs to the 5th the pool was so small and they didnt have enough chairs, if i knew this stuff about the hotel i wouldnt make a reservation, but the staff was helpful and nicely

If you are on a budget this a great place. If money isn't an object, choose somewhere else. The absolute best location! Beach across the street, walkable to places we wanted to be near: Lincoln Road, restaurants, of course the beach. Room is tiny, TINY, no room for a dresser, very small, and clean, bathroom. Zero amenities. Free breakfast was a scam: advertised as a buffet, actually not. We waited for over an hour the first day to be given cold eggs, cold bacon, cold potatoes, no fruit. And...the coffee with cream, which we waited about half an hour for, was delicous. We skipped the free breakfast for the next three days. Clueless initial interaction with front dest worker (I'll leave his name out); was charged for the room that I already paid for. So...if you can afford a property that has a normal, Amercian-sized room and some amenities (the pool was through an alley, not a problem, and very small), stay there (I would); otherwise, this place was absolutely fine.

Had a great visit! But a few things knocked it to three stars: - Email the day of arrival directed us the the valet at the sister property, The President, on Collins Ave.Upon arrival, there was no valet attendant, we waited :30 minutes to check our vehicle, only to be told Ocean Ave was open and should have gone direct to The Penguin. Then had to lug our bags thru the back alley to the Penguin. Update your emails!! - WiFi was terrible throught the property. - The breakfast was mediocre at best, cold eggs every morning. The service was indifferent! Review should have been four star.
