The AC sysytem was extremely loud. Woke me up every time it came on. Staff were barely interested in helping or answering questions. Access to hotel from parking garage was difficult and no signage or instructions from check in staff.
Jim (the GM), Liz (manager), and Brandon (associate) were all so friendly, considerate, and helpful. They truly went above and beyond for my family as my father was hospitalized at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Nice property, great location to Wash U and hospitals. Parking is high cost, a lot of local construction. And paint peeling in the bathroom ceiling.
The staff was terrific. Everyone... the valet team, the front desk, housekeeping... all friendly and welcoming. Will def choose this hotel again.
Staff was not that friendly . And had to pay for valet parking and wasn’t aware that was only option. Room was clean
Perfect property to visit Washington University Med School. Missed having breakfast available.
It was a bit cumbersome from the time we drove up to the time we left. When checking in, we tried to park in the parking garage then check in, unfortunately you have to first check in and then park your car. So we had to reverse out of the parking entrance. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were clean and spacious, BUT after getting into our rooms, our keys didn't work to get back in when we stepped out to get dinner. We had to go up and down 4 times before I told the hotel clerk, please open the door for us, this is ridiculous for me to come down 4 times with a key that doesn't work. She came up with us and opened both doors, for both of the rooms we booked. She said that this was something they would address with maintenance. The next morning we left to go get breakfast and again the keys didn't work again, looks like overnight the problem wasn't addressed. My wife was so frustrated she just wanted to leave. Which we did immediately. This may have been a one a million incident, but it was poorly handled and never fixed.
Check in was quick. The hotel was clean and quiet I would recommend
I really liked the location and the hotel/room itself. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was strong. Some of the staff were very friendly. I lost an item of clothing and one staff member was very helpful in locating it. The downfalls: Some of the staff did not have very good advice (e.g. suggested we could walk to our restaurant which would have been a 30+min walk in the rain and my mom had a knee injury - luckily we decided to take an Uber).Another staff member could not have been less interested in helping me in locating my missing item. At the time of my stay, they permitted pets which was great, although the pet fee ($25) was not listed on Orbitz website. Parking was $7 and also not listed on the Orbitz website.
Enjoyed the room and the bed was nice, better than most.
Everything was excellent except breakfast! It has very convenient location.
Proximity to Barnes was valuable to me as my mother who was having surgery and I are both from out of the area.

Hi Walter, Thank you for your 5 star review. The location of the hotel is wonderful for many travelers. If you are visiting the Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes, or many St. Louis attractions. We are located just minutes from Forest Park with many fun and free things to do. Our breakfast is served from 6am-10am daily. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season!
Dear Roberta: Thank you for your feedback. Great news is, we are in the process of replacing all of our AC units. This project should be complete before the end of this year. Here is some helpful information regarding the garage. If you are on the ramp or the level to the right of the ramp, walk down the ramp. At the bottom of the ramp if you look to the left, you will see outside and about 6 parking spots. If you walk to the outside, follow the sidewalk directly to our front door. Or instead of walking towards outside, you can walk past the 6 parking spots and there is a large sign that reads DoubleTree Forest Park Hotel. Follow that sign and you will see our back door entrance. Use your guestroom key to open this back door. You will now see a second door. Use key and you are now in our lobby. Thank you for staying with us and I hope my response is helpful to all. Take care and have a wonderful Fall. Richelle
