Enjoyable stay

Lovely hotel, service and rooftop pool. Outstanding location! Only problem was that the elevators were not working and we had to take the service elevator. Hopefully they will correct that for a future guests.

Great location, beautiful city. Very walkable and safe, most comfortable beds ever. Beautiful view of the river from our room on the 8th floor! Friendly check-in, got great advice from the front desk about free parking on the street. Just make sure you understand the rules. Wonderful pool area on the second floor level, with in-water foam chairs for sunning and a bar at poolside. Late night high-quality bar attached with a sophisticated bartender to meet your needs.

The staff was AMAZING and super friendly. I booked for my birthday. The first room was a standard King abs there was hair all in the bed, reported to front desk and they immediately compromise and upgraded. The next room was bigger .. there was still 2 pieces of hair but I was so tired from the ride and everything we just let it go. Out of 3 elevators, only 1 worked so there was always a wait and a lot of people on the elevator ALWAYS. Other than that, the location was perfect, parking isn’t horrible, and the staff was magnificent

Wonderful staff and location

The staff at this hotel is terrific. The location is great. Our room was clean, although it showed a little wear. The price of overnight valet seemed a little high. Overall, great stay and we’ll be back.

Nice stay

Older hotel but in good shape, balconies are non-accessible. Super comfortable bed, View was nice from our 13th floor room. AC went out in night - needed to call maintaince - they foxed it in about ½ hour after calling. Bar drinks were fantastic - food was just so-so. Location is just south of main historical district, but still close enough to walk nearly everywhere.

Clean hotel. Good sevice except valet. Long waits to drop off and retrieve car. Staff was very friendly. Food was good. The pool area was disappointing. Very small pool, not enough towels and not enough chairs.

Only one elevator out of three was working which was frustrating to most of the guests. The rooms were small, especially the bathroom. I expected more for the price. My brother and I each got a room for two and his room rate was less than mine even though we booked at the same time. I will not stay at a desoto again. Desk staff was not very friendly except for the valets who were great.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was nice with a great view. I had one concern about an unruly person in the next room that I spoke to a staff member about, but that person wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Overall, I give the DeSoto five stars.
