The room has a distinct musty odor which was very off-putting. Bed was comfortable, sheets soft and pillows good. Lighting was either too bright or too dim. Front desk woman, who worked the afternoon of arrival and was there the next morning, was friendly and efficient.

Great location! Rooms do need a little updating but thats really it; room i had was clean. Bathrooms are great with bigger toilets than most hotels which is a win in any travelers book.

Close to historic district. Easy walk. Walls were not cleaned, lots of handprints/smudges. Breakfast pretty much non existent. "Pancake maker" down according to staff. Then orange juice was "down" so coffee was it

Good stay for the price you pay. Looks old & run down on the outside but rooms are clean & well-kept. Convenient to River Street, Broughton & Plant Riverside…making everything within walking distance. Staff was very friendly & helpful. As for the negatives… it’s very loud on Bay Street and you can hear everything in your room. Also, because it’s an older hotel, all the doors are outward facing.

Stay was ok service was horrible and staff is to busy smoking skunk weed inside the bldg. and out and allowing it to be smoked in main breakfast and bldg. areas to a point where stay becomes uncomfortable and also disturbing for guest !!!!

The building needs a good painting and there are a lot of opportunities to upgrade the appearance. A good opportunity is for the rooms downstairs to be more private, there are curtains but since there is a big glass window it doesn't feel like private. About our stay, there was a little situation with the room assigned but I called reception and they responded without hesitation and assigned us another room.
