The room was not kept clean, there was trash and other items under bed and furniture, the parking lot was trashed, extra charges applied for parking (jus for the weekend of our stay), they didn’t honor their military discount (just for the weekend of our stay) and we weren’t informed of this before check-in even though we had called prior to arrival to ask.

Pretty positive our heat was broken. Carpet was filthy and stained. Bathroom had mold and the whole room smelled funky. Tv was fuzzy. And they don't tell you that you have to pay a $25 fee just to park your car. We were not impressed. The most convenient thing was being able to walk the historic district.

The staff were excellent and very helpful and prompt with all questions and service request. The facility itself was great for the price compared to others around it. Comfortable bed, slightly sticky carpet so bring slippers since none is provided.

This hotel is perfect for New Years Eve and I bet 4th of July too. The patio area on 2nd floor gives perfect views of the fireworks. And, this location is only a 1 min walk to the riverfront. Location is perfect. The hotel though could benefit from updating. The outdoor areas feel dirty. The carpets desperately need to be replaced in rooms, and the rooms themselves feel they’ve been worn down and used by guests for 50 years. The morning staff wasn’t outwardly friendly in lobby, but they may have had a hard day. The lobby door at 6pm was locked, so you had to knock to get in to check in, which makes you instantly feel the hotel is not the safest (if they feel they have to lock themselves in), but the night staff was friendly. Parking was convenient at the hotel but is a separate $20 charge per day, so be prepared. It’s worth it though considering location of hotel is great. So, choosing this hotel, know it’s not “nice” or comfortable per se, but you choose it because the location is perfect and it’s affordable. The breakfast was nice too!

Amanda checked me. She is awesome and very helpful. Upstairs king bed room was small and subpar. She got me a king handicap accessible room (first floor) which was almost twice as big and much nicer. TV is analog cable (meh). Breakfast is pancakes, bagels, yogurt, a few cereals, blueberry muffin or an apple. No pool, no fitness room, no frills, but walking distance to everything which is what I wanted. If you are on a budget and don’t mind a basic hotel room, consider this an option.
