Planters Inn on Reynolds Square

Really nice setting with wine and cheese reception and cookies provided! The room was excellent except for the bright lights from the parking garage across the street, even though the shades and curtains.

Great locale on Reynolds Square offering a quick walk to the river front for shops and restaurants. Close by Leopolds too for great ice cream.

Really happy with our stay. The hotel had a feel of "Old Savannah" but not outdated. With the great location it was easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Room was fine. Amazing water pressure in shower! Would like to have more variety with breakfast and wine and cheese. Also, breakfast room small and coffee was mediocre. I would rather they skipped both and just charged less. Overall a good stay/great location

Great place close to everything. A lovely walk to the squares and the river view.

I thought when booking this hotel it would be a great botique hotel. The picture cuts out the very large parking garage right next to it. I selected one of the only rooms with a balcony. Unfortunately it is shared with another room. Our room looked dorectly into the parking garage. The hotel is old which can be nice if they keep up the paint etc. if I were to book hotel again I would book a nice from at Embassey suites or one of the other newer hotels. The breakfast was def not great. The complimentary wine and cheese offered at certain hours was a nice touch.

Staff was attentive and very congenial. Breakfast was full of variety. Nice touch in the evening with complimentary wine & cheese in the lobby. Estalishment was clean and well cared for. Front desk was super when asked for honest recommendations for touring. We were pleasantly surprised.

pleasant stay, many attractions in walking distance

Beautiful historical hotel and location. Easy walk to many landmarks and restaurants

I loved my stay at the Planters Inn. The staff was great and the room was beautiful and comfortable. Best shower I've ever had in a hotel!

We did a spur of a moment trip from Indiana and didn't realize how big a deal St Patrick's day was in Savannah. We planned on spending a quiet day walking the historic downtown but was dinied access to the hotel until 5 pm due to the parade and happenings downtown.

Very friendly staff in a great location. Able to walk throughout all of Savannah with ease. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but everything else about this hotel was perfect

This was our first trip to Savannah and I was hoping we would find something 'just right' and we did! We generally stay at the major hotels/resorts (using points), but Planters was perfectly charming - not to large and not as intimate as a B&B. We were very happy with our stay and found the location on Reynolds Square very walkable to all of the restaurants, shops and river.

This was a nice hotel. It was everything i saw in the pic the staff there are very friendly and very nice. The wine and cheese time was also the lady who serves the wine also help with last min reservations. The hotel is a great location. The only thing i didnt like was one of the elevators was down. A hotel with that many guests needs two.

My husband and I have stayed at the Planter's Inn in Charleston, SC and felt comfortable making reservations at this one in Savannah, GA. based on our experience in Charleston. The room & bathroom were nice and clean. Each night around 7 pm we received turn down service. We were brought a bag of ice, mints and a bottle of Evian water. The water had a note on it that it was complimentary the first night but $4 there after. You will need the bottled water - bring your own or pay the price. Breakfast was fine, typical grits, eggs, waffles, sausage, etc. and there was no extra charge for it. Free wine 5:30pm -7pm was great!!! We were there July 4th weekend, busy time but there was only on elevator working, which made the wait a bit longer than expected during the mornings when people were checking out. Valet parking is $17/day +tax. Valets were good at their jobs. If you go on the weekends you can park on the street starting Friday evening to 8am Monday morning. Because of the location of the hotel you can walk everywhere without moving your car once you arrive. Overall okay stay but we really like the Charleston, SC location much better due to the décor in the lobby, rooms and breakfast options. FYI: the Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA locations have the same name but they are no longer affiliated according to the staff.

I would definitely stay here again. It is a spacious feel in the entry and breakfast bar area. I had a room with a view of the busy street, but other quieter windows are also available. Avoid 2nd floor if you would be bothered by early smells of waffles. There's a great high-class restaurant just down a block.

Great location. Staff is awesome and would recommend anyone stay here during their planned trip.

We traveled to Savannah for a combination vacation and to attend the Savannah Book Festival that weekend. A year and a half ago we spent an afternoon there and we wanted to see more.We flew there and just walked everywhere which is easy to do in Savannah.River Street, the Squares, amazing shops and great restaurants, river cruises and Ghost tours all made for an interesting time. The book festival was interesting and fun, well worth the trip alone. Favorite thing to do was to just sit by the river in the morning watching the ships go by while enjoying my morning coffee. I mentioned great restaurants but my favorite place ended up being "The Soda Shoppe" on Bull Street. A to die for Chili Dog and a funny, people person owner. The Planters Inn was wonderful. Maybe not all the bells and whistles of a modern hotel, but I will take comfort, a friendly staff and Southern Charm any day!. Also a fine location next to Reynolds Square, easy to walk everywhere. To conclude, one of the best trips we have ever taken, and I can't wait to go to Savannah again!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Staff was friendly and helpful. Very central location. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Savannah!

Very nice, boutique type of hotel in the historic district. Very quiet with friendly staff.
