My husband and I stay here often and normally love everything; however, this time it was not as clean as it normally is and the staff was not very responsive to our concerns. This is actually the 2nd time with this issue. We stayed in September also with the same issue. September - dead bugs in the room March - Bathtub was not fully cleaned and there was a musty/mildew smell in the room

The lobby was lovely. It was very attractively decorated for Christmas. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We used the valet parking. Although both of the porters were very nice, we especially found Richard very helpful. The heating and AC system in the room was very noisy at times. It intake seemed to have a sort of rattle. And while there may well be some need for upgrading the property, as others have mentioned, it was definitely not as bad--at least in terms of the room 511 that we occupied, to as some reviews have noted about other spaces. Having coffee in the lobby was appreciated. I have read that the hotel once provided some food and beverages in the pre-covid period. I have on complaint. When checking in, the reception asked for a credit card for "incidentals". I made the mistake of giving them a debit card. We spent three nights at the hotel. As noted earlier, we used valet parking. The cost is $17.95 per night. On checking out, I did not receive a printout of incidental charges. It was not offered. Since returning home, my bank account has shown some daily changes associated with the hotel stay. One day, there was a charge for $17.95, plus another charge for $90.00. The next day the mysterious $90. charge disappeared. Today there are two charges for $17.95. I await what additional charge may appear on tomorrow's (12/30/21) bank statement. I will see what appears on the statement tomorrow. If there are any additional unsubstantiated charge, I will call the hotel.

No housekeeping during stay only after checkout

The property and location are wonderful; however, I did not appreciate finding a roach in our room and being told housekeeping came in hours later and would clean it. I was also charged 6$ in additional taxes when I paid for my room in advance.

Loved the location. The rooms were neat..fridge was a big help!! Staff was VERY friendly!!!! Loved Patrick!

The staff was very kind and attentive. The cleanliness of the room was lacking to put it mildly. Again, the staff was wonderful, in particular Marvin. We would stay again if upgrades are made.

Planters Inn is in a great location - walking distance from all of the squares. It is a historical Inn and the decor reflects this. If you are dining at The Old Pink House this hotel is right next door. The staff was great and accommodated all of our needs. Thank you for a great experience.

It was a beautiful building with employees who were very helpful and courteous

Very quiet location. Great service and nice place.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION was so convenient to shop & eat

Great location being that it was walking distance from all the sites we wanted to see. Good customer service. Wished the AC system worked better and wished there was a refrigerator.

The man upon check in was great! When we came back in the middle of the night and asked the lady at the desk where to get pizza, she was so helpful too! Cute, cute, cute, place!!!

Perfect location for walking the squares, shopping and River St. Next door to the Old Pink House. Feels traditional rather than a cookie cutter modern hotel. Not a lot of amenities, just a comfortable place to rest between adventures. Wouldn't recommend for families with kids. Also not for people with mobility issues. My four poster bed was so high I could barely climb into it. My room had a horrible view but I didn't mind as I was outside exvept when sleeping or showering.

This property is in the best location so close to everything. The customer service is absolutely top knotch! I kept seeing other properties I had considered and am so glad I went with Planters! Free breakfast, wine and cheese, turn down service and cookies in the evening! I will definitely stay here again!

Loved social time with complimentary wine and cheese. Breakfast was also very nice.

Great location. Elevator didn’t work during the whole stay. Very good breakfast

Clean, great location. Staff friendly and helpful! Loved the wine and cheese and warm cookies at night. Looking forward to breakfast
