From the moment we pulled up (valet parking attendant was welcoming and notified office we arrived) to the moment we departed, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Location is perfect; walking distance to river front, restaurants and shops. Room was clean, spacious, and bed & pillows were perfect. Complimentary wine & cheese in the lobby with piano player is a perfect start to the evening. I will definitely stay here again and again.

The Planters Inn was a nice stay in Savannah! Well located, walkable to many areas and good dining options, good nightlife, and great historic areas and shopping. Very nice staff, with great dining recs.

Charming traditional property in a fabulous location. Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely room and comfortable lounge for relaxing. Only criticism would be no breakfast facility, just coffee in the lobby. I assume there’s no space for a dining room, but a modest breakfast bar in the lobby would be nice. Otherwise a great stay.

Lovely old fashioned property. Great location for walking around centre. We had VIP valet parking included in rate, which worked well. Bedroom had 4 poster bed. Looked good although it is an older style hotel so could be updated. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist.

Perfect location right in the middle of Savannah & overlooking Reynold's Square. It's really the only draw to this resort. It has so much potential too! Definitely needs a full remodel. Excellent service, loved that you could text the front desk. Easy valet parking. Our room was ready early which is another bonus! The room had a super weird odor to it (probably the old carpet). Lobby was underwhelming. Hopefully they're able to get a face lift soon, for the price especially.

The hotel is well located and staff are very nice. The room was not as the pictures advertised. The walls needed fresh paint and had visible holes and scuffs. The bathroom towel bar was falling out of the wall. The carpet was old and the bathroom floor was dirty. It needed a complete overhaul.

Cannot beat the area for location of this property! Olde Pink House (world famous southern style restaurant) is literally across the street. Reynolds Square is in front of hotel, which provides a beautiful park like atmosphere for relaxation & enjoyment. World famous Bull Street is two blocks west, which is where all the culturally and historically significant early American buildings, homes and tours around Savannah originate from. Staff of hotel couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating! All very friendly & genuinely invested in helping ensure hotel guests are appreciated and cared for during their stay. This hotel is 3 stars, not 4 or 5. The reason is this hotel is in an old building (1913 built) and only so much renovation can be done without it being cost prohibitive for what this property is, and its functionality. So, if you’re looking for 4/5 star quality and/or amenities, this is not the hotel to consider. Understand what you’re getting & what you’re paying for (location, convenience to sites and attractions). One draw back of note: the bedding. Very soft mattresses. Not for persons with back issues, as you will sink toward the middle! Hotel claims the mattresses are “ Custom-Made Southern Lady Mattresses” (whatever that’s supposed to entail?) Point is, if you prefer a firm or harder mattress & bedding, this isn’t the hotel that accommodates that need (at least not the Queen accommodation room bedding my reservation had).
