Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District

Friends originally from Chicago, some now living in other parts of the country, met in Savannah to reconnect. It turned out to be a perfect city to do this. There was more than enough to see and do spend time together. The weather cooperated for half the trip and that was fine. It was warmer then the North - that was the main thing.

The hotel is in the prime location for restaurants and sightseeing but unfortunately that means you will here people out in the streets. We got lucky to get a room right in the corner of the hotel where we can here the people out and about. The walls are super thin so if it's the weekend, expect to get little sleep with all the drunken people outside. The parking situation is a scam, to me. They only have valet and they charge $27 overnight and when they mean overnight, it's for only 12 hours, not 24 hours. I asked the front desk about this and they told me that it would cover the entire day but that was her of telling me 12 hours which I found deceitful.

Good location for walking Historic Savannah area.

We spent a single night at the hotel after arriving in Savannah the Sunday before Labor Day. We were very pleased with the service and the price was reasonable, especially given the location. This will be a top pick for us on our next visit to the area!

Loved the location! Right across from river street and in the historic district. It's also right across from market street, a bustling little closed off street full of trendy restaurants and bars and shops! The price was also on the lower end of anywhere I could find in this area so I loved it! They had clean rooms and served breakfast and had a small bar in the hotel:)

Do not hesitate to stay at this hotel! I spent a night here and enjoyed my time. The location of the hotel is perfect and it does not get any better!

Very clean, Staff very helpful, location is great.

Perfect location and comfortable room. We were in Savannah for business and mixed in a little pleasure because of the great location of this hotel. Will definitely be back.

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean; very good concierge! But breakfast was not included; something the online booking company failed to mention. Parking was not included either. Won't stay there again for those reasons only. I very much enjoyed the tour.

Perfect location, next to all the squares, restaurants, and the riverfront in the historic district. Expensive parking was the biggest disappointment at $18/night. If parking was more reasonable, I would go back.

Don't expect a view but the location is perfect walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping

Perfect location, you can walk just about anywhere you'd want to go. The hotel was average, but the staff was above average.

Very good experience. I would stay here again. I would recommend it to a friend or coworker.

The customer service could not have been any better. We arrived early and the hotel was able to let us check in anyway. We had a corner room which was actually larger than some of the other rooms. Very comfortable and quiet. We could not hear noise from other rooms. The location simply cannot be beat. If you like pizza, try Vinnie Van Gogos located just behind the hotel at the city market. Hotel is also conveniently located close to The Lady and Sons famous restaurant. You will not be disappointed in either of these. This was our second trip to Savannah. We will definitely go back again.

Hotel was very nice. Location great to shops and restaurants. The pool was kind of small but we were the only ones in it so it was ok. The hot tub always full and would be nice if it was bigger. No free breakfast.

That Hilton would put their name on this hotel. The staff does not know how to read a Do Not Disturb Sign if you want to have someone walk in on your romantic getaway. The valet parked the car on the street and the car was ticketed. I was charged for parking, breakfast and anything else they could think of...............

This hotel is in one of the best locations in Savannah. It was so easy to walk to the riverfront and all of the restaurants. The rooms are of good quality, and they even have cookies in the lobby.

We enjoyed our stay and the staff was awesome. The only complaint I had was that we were too close to the elevators and heard the elevator dinging from our room every time it was summoned by someone.

We loved Savannah, an incredibly beautiful city! The Hilton Garden was perfectly situated just across City Market & so near to the river. Our room was big, comfortable & decorated with taste for a chain hotel. I used the gymn, heated pool & spa every day. The staff was nice & eager to help, especially the concierge who gave us good advice & organized things for us. All around we felt really pampered at the hotel.

The hotel was better than I expected. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and also very knowledgeable about the area. I plan to stay there again when in Savannah. Good job Hilton Gardends Savannah.
