No early check in (15 minutes early) you have to wait for everyone who was ahead of you waiting to check in. Total wait for check in 30 minutes. Don’t park your car on the street, someone got broken in, in about 10 minutes. Cleaning staff friendly and accommodating, hotel is clean inside and ok for the money.

Clean with renovated bathrooms and felt safe as the neighbourhood is not.

The Hotel was in itself was acceptable , however, the area was an embarrassment. The streets around there were dirty and full of drugged and homeless people. I tried canceling the reservation but according to Orbitz, the hotel manager wasn’t available to approve it. So, we were stuck there. We ended up taking daily Uber from the hotel and to the hotel. We founded difficult to adjust to their limited times of offered complimentary shuttle destinations and pick ups. In addition, there were times in which there was no space in the shuttle to come back. So, we just gave up on trying to use it. We did take advantage of their daily complimentary wine from 5-7 and continental breakfast. I was warned not to stay in the Tenderloin area, but I thought I would give this hotel a try. Lesson learned, I would not do it again and not sure if I can trust Orbitz with my bookings in the future.

The hotel is great. The community around it is extremely dicey.

not a good place to go out during night time, scary outside the street, rooms no thermostat

I was satisfied with my stay at the COVA. The room was clean and the hotel is centrally located. The only drawback was all the homeless people near the hotel. Other than that, it was a hood stay.

Looked decent from the online pics. Front desk supervisor was unfriendly. Rooms were not so clean. I saw hair on the sheets Looks like they don't change them.

Overall it was very nice stay. unfortunately the area around not a pleasure to walk by.

No heat in rooms, they give you portable spacer heaters. In twenty five years of travel have never seen this before. Hotel is on edge not so great area.

The staff was amazing. They were very knowledgeable of the city, nearby restaurants and the friendliness was appreciated. Suite was spacious and comfortable. We were sad to leave our home-away-from-home. Free breakfast every morning and wine tasting in the evening were extra bonuses we enjoyed every day of our stay. Free daily shuttle service to 3 different locations was not only a money saver but allowed us the freedom to explore such a large city. Two thumbs UP Cova Hotel.

Price was a good deal but for the area it seem justified although all was good. Staff really didn’t help with educating about the surrounding area nor were helpful about nor with anything therefore had to ask people around about things in order to know anything.

Check in took no time and the host was helpful in arranging a larger room so we had space for a cot. She also told us about free wine on the roof deck! House keeping was very quick to provide us with our extra requests. Only complaint was that we didn't have (or couldn't find) a thermostat for our room, but we had doors we could open to make it less stuffy. Valet also had our car right out front for our early check out time!

Very clean rooms and environment, friendly staff. Enjoyed the free breakfast. The only con is the towels are old and need to be replaced. But overall, excellent and will use again

It was good exprience to stay here. I stayed here for 4 nights and rooms were always clean. It was close to every places we wanted to visit.

Walking-friendly to and from public transportation. Friendly desk staff and breakfast team. Good value for Civic Center stay.

Sinks in 2 rooms plugged up, iron broken, painful towels

Although it's in the Tenderloin, the location isn't too bad--just don't walk around at night. Parking here was great ($30/day valet with in and out privileges.) The fact that it's always monitored with cameras and it's connected to the hotel are definitely a plus. You're just a few minutes drive from all the tourist spots in SF. They even have shuttles that will take you to Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, and Japan town. No central AC or heater, but the hotel will provide you with small appliances to maintain a decent climate. Luckily it was pretty cold and the small heater worked fine. Breakfast was very very very basic--just check it out once but even if you don't go you're not missing much: scrambled eggs, croissants, some fruit, ham, and a waffle maker.

Cova hotel is a very nicely done boutique style hotel. They serve a great free breakfast during your stay, have wifi and a shuttle that you can pre-arrange to go to the major tourist attractions. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and will make sure you have an easy stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
