When we went to our room, the door handle was sticking and my husband literally had to kick the door to get it to open. As soon as we got the door open, the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I informed the lady at the front desk and she apologized and gave us a new room that didn’t smell like cigarettes.

Unfortunately, this property did not meet the same standards of other Red Roof Inns I have stayed at in the past. Elevators and hallway reeked of pot smoke.

I had to get my room switched due to bed bugs & roaches. Very unhappy with my stay & the hotel

The property was conveniently located close to Raliegh. Good for a one night stay considering the cost and location.

Great room.great staff!lovely interior and exterior structure.overall a great hotel to stay at for any purposr

The batteries for the remote to watch TV were not working. The hallways, elevator and room had a bad smell. There was no fridge. The towels did not smell clean either. The only good thing was the location.

Unfortunately, I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE making reservations. The staff was pleasant, however, once in our rooms. There was an 40oz beer bottle cap on our floor, the sheets on the bed were Damp (So we slept on the comforters), there was stain on one of the sheets on the bed. There was only 1 bar of soap available. There were no refrigerators or microwaves in the room. When asked the front desk about a delivery service, they referred "Checkers Pizza" (They were making a delivery as we were checking in). However when we called to place an order, the restaurant Swore out they did not deliver to the hotel (Even after I told them their delivery driver had just left). The telephone in the room was very dirty and looked looked like it had been there for many, many years. Although the hotel advertised it was 100% no smoking.. the Entire hotel smelled like people were smoking. (We even walked up to the 3rd floor in search of vending machines and ice) ... Im afraid if we had stayed longer than one night. We would have found many, many more issues. Im so sorry that I have to leave such a negative review, but hopefully I can help someone else (Like myself) who not from this area and needed an honest warning.

You get what you pay for, and for the price we paid to stay at the Red Roof Inn, Raleigh Southwest - Cary, it was a great experience. The staff was pleasant and professional even through slightly stressful conditions (it was very busy when we checked in, so I'm quite glad we had reservations, and the computers were responding slowly by the staff's reactions to them). However, our room was ready, clean, comfortable, and safe - which is really all I needed for a quick overnight stay.

I was traveling with my daughter. I was awoken at 7am by the front desk accusing us, or the next room, of smoking pot. 8am the cops knocked on our door. The next morning the cleaning staff wakes us two hours before check-out to confirm we were going to check out. At check out the front desk acknowledged they knew it wasn't us dong the pot, but still NO apology. When I mentioned also being awoken by the cleaning staff she saw no problem with the inconvenience and again NO APOLOGY. I wouldn't stay there again if it was free. And worst coffee ever in the lobby and no coffee maker in the room.

Well, I went to check in and was told that my room was going to be $65, plus taxes and fees. I told the clerk that the price listed on Orbitz was only $50 for the same room, but she refused to match the price. I ended up standing in the hotel lobby and booking the room on Orbitz, and then had to wait until the reservation showed up in their computer system. The room was clean. The mattresses were deplorable. Don't expect breakfast of any sort, and the coffee service in the lobby was a tragedy. If you're looking for a clean, economical place to stay, here it is. But the hotel could be a whole lot better if the staff showed a little pride in their work.

nice location close to the oter nice places you can go to shop

it was good experience anyway because the location of the hotel it too close to many restaurant and store in Cary

was not okay i had bad experience with room 140 that was very cold because the heat was not working good . when i let the customer service know he said i have nothing to do for you we are sold out .

Room cleanliness . The entire reservation was horrendous. I will be booking through another agengy other than Orbitz

Relatively clean. Nice people at desk. That said, the bed was hard, the pillows fat and rubbery, the room was either moldy or full or dog dander but either way it was difficult to breathe. If you have any allergies at all, this might not be your best choice.

Didn't even have basic amenities!!! There was hair in the shower, so I know if wasn't cleaned after the previous resident...just overall gross

I was disappointed in three things that I normally expect in a hotel in this price range: The heat didn't work, their was no hair dryer in the room and there wasn't even an electrical outlet in the bathroom to plug in my own hair dryer or an electric raizer.
