I liked the property's location to businesses and the Highway. Overall the property was just outdated and had an old smell. The A/C units were loud and it just needed a refresh.
This place was dirty filthy sheets in the room had dirty stains, also saw a used condom next to my room when I checked in and it was still there this morning when I checked out,waited about 30-40 min to check in only one person working the front desk and there was like 4 groups of people waiting to check in overall the worst experience
Dated is fine, but this goes beyond that. The carpets are beyond acceptable use and our room as dank and very uncomfortable due to that!
The room was very large and nicer than expected for the price. The pool area was very dirty. It was perfect for being a safe affordable place to stay while visiting Duke’s campus.

While the hotel amenities were mainly closed, the front desk staff went beyond to make sure our room met our expectations. When our TV didn’t work they changed our rooms asap and even brought the new keys to us. The housekeeping staff even found the items I left behind! Couldn’t ask for more.
Maybe make the entrance numbers more visible from the parking lot. It would be nice if the restaurant had been open also for room service and continental breakfast.

Deadbolt on door was missing, shower rod barely hanging, bath/shower dirty. Felt unsafe and dirty. Needs updating. Carpet in room was gross.
I liked the easy access to the hotel and it's close proximity to the Duke campus. I booked the room for my son and I to attend a Duke basketball game. I liked the quiet setting of the hotel. I did not like the bed or the bedding. It was uncomfortable to sleep on and I did not have a comforter on my bed. I did not like the pre-checkin that did not work. I had to stand in line waiting for the poor guy behind the counter while he tried to figure out how to work the computer and charge me an extra $200 incident fee. I did not like the fact that there was no remote control for the tv in my room and I had to make a trip downstairs to ask the same guy behind the counter for a remote control. However, I did appreciate the maintenance guy bringing me one very quickly. For one night, it was an ok experience.

Hotel staff was nice but not overly pleasant. The hotel was a bit rundown and the room was a little dirty. The refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned out from the previous occupant, had to call and ask them to do that. It looks like it was a very pretty hotel at one time, but just really looked run down.
