My major complaint was that the shades on the window was torn. Which made the room less desirable. Otherwise it was extremely pleasant room and very clean

Very comfortable beds, quite, clean and affordable. Very close to Hospital and Clinics.

Clean room and comfortable furniture. The location was quiet and close to the area I needed to access.

Easy access to a necessary medical facility. Nothing else to add.

My daughter had a job interview at Duke hospital and it was the perfect location. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and restful. Just a very short walk to the hospital,

This was a reasonable place at a reasonable price for the area. They had everything I needed and I got a good night's sleep. It's basic, but they offer a decent free breakfast unlike the nearby competition. I would stay here again.

This was a great hotel as the location was right next to Duke's campus, the room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly.

Close to medical system. Hotel is clean, rooms are large, but it is worn down. Breakfast were cheerios and milk.

This is the older of two hotels in the block next to the Duke University Hospital. This one is more off the main road and next to at least one substance abuse counseling center. That made the whole feel rather sketchy, especially for a single, female traveler. I was attending a conference at Duke University and this appeared to be the closest hotel to the venue. The Lobby is spartan and desk staff looks like folks who have benefited from the nearby centers' programs and are working at reclaiming their lives. I was extremely doubtful at first. The rooms, however, were spotless and quiet. It appeared that Hospital staff stay in this hotel from time to time, too, which increased my confidence and feeling of general safety. Parking was limited but very close to the lobby entrance which was the only access to the rooms. Don't expect any real coffee or pastry in the morning, either in your room or in the lobby. I will probably pay more and stay farther away from the venue if I travel to Duke Univ in the future.

It was a comfortable stay and the location was great as it is in the middle of Duke campus.

Friendly, easy inand out, available breakfast.

We (my mom, nephew, 2yr old daughter, and myself) had to take my nephew to Duke Children's Hospital for his Muscular Dystrophy appointments among other dr. appointments. [...] Our room SMELLED bad of bug spray and there were mysterious wet spots on the floor. The staff was not the greatest either. Also, said they had a complimentary breakfast- all they had was milk, juice, coffee, apples, and old hard small bread pastry. Not worth the $90 we paid for a one night stay. PLENTY of other hotels nearby that give half price discounts, have better breakfast, and pools for less then this price.

This is a very average place. It is very expensive for the quality of its amenities. The bath tub was very old with most of the the glazed lining gone and black spots were visible all over the bottom of the tub. This made it difficult to tell if the tub was really clean or not.The morning complimentary breakfast had very few items on the menu and not worth it. Don't be carried away with the free shuttle to Duke Medical Center as Duke is maybe a block away and you can walk that distance. It is not worth saving the 20$ by staying at this inn instead of a regular Hotel.

very nice with friendly staff

The university Inn was right across the street from the Duke Medical center, which was very convenient. It made it really easy to get back and forth and there were buses too and from the airport across the street. The room was big and comfortable.

University Inn at Duke Hospital was very convenient to Duke University and not too far from the shopping & tourist areas I'd wanted to visit. The room was nicely appointed, older though clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was pretty non-descript, standard fare--I would have preferred fancier, but didn't fret over it. It seemed a tad pricey to me, though it was parent's weekend at the University, so things might have been more expensive than usual. I wouldn't mind staying there again.

The University Inn Duke Hospital was a very nice place to stay. All the employees were very friendly and went above and beyond to take care or our needs and shuttle us around town. The close proximity to Duke Medical Center was a bonus. The rooms were very large and clean. This hotel was recently converted to a non-smoking facility, and showed no signs of lingering smoking oders. The only area that could use some improvement was the breakfast bar. Overall, I plan on staying there on any of our future trip to this area.
