Rooms were clean but they had a funky smell to them.

The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to highway and parking was not a problem. We needed extra shampoo and towels and they were provided quickly. The breakfast buffet was excellent!

this seems to be an older facility. No bed bugs. My non-smoking room was clean and had the air conditioner running keeping the rom cool. It smelled a little musty--the air conditioning unit might need cleaning since is old. Little details need to attention: the information binder cover page is old and stained. The channel line up is not correct: I pressed the channel number for HBO and got Evine---HBO was a three digit number. I don't know if it was the tv setting (I did not change or the line out is out of date). Staff was courteous.

I was in town for business I enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff as very nice and I will stay there again when I am there on business.

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service from the staff at check in and the room was clean and ready even though I arrived a few hours earlier than expected. They even had warm cookies and provided me directions to restaurants in the area. This my be my new favorite place when visiting Durham.

I was comfortable and enjoyed having a smoking room, clean, neat.

I enjoyed the room that I had, it was peaceful and quiet minus the parents who let their children run through the halls and knock on my door. Another negative would be the temperature of the water in the shower as well as the air conditioning; the water never got hot and the air was on the lowest setting and it was still fairly warm. Overall the room was not bad considering it was last minute and I needed a place to stay because of the terrible weather and power outages.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. This hotel had all of the basic needs. There was nothing fancy about the hotel, but the employees were great, the rooms were comfortable, there was a nice breakfast, and there was a fitness center that was adequate. The hotel was only 8 miles from Duke University, which was convenient since that was the reason we were staying there. We had to deal with no traffic jams, and the interstates and highways were all close to the hotel. Also, there was plenty of restaurants and gas stations that were right by the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel while I interviewed for graduate school at Duke University. The Raleigh-Durham Airport is about 8 miles away so I felt that the location was very central to everywhere I wanted to go while I visited the area. I visited Durham, Chapel-Hill, Raleigh, Hillsborough, Morrisville, Cary, Apex, Duke University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Research Triangle Park, and many surrounding areas. Being right off I-40 it was easy to locate and get to where I needed to go and then find the hotel when I was done. It was easy to locate several large shopping malls and housing options in case I move here. Traffic was minimal so getting into downtown Durham was quick and easy. I only ran into heavy traffic once in my four days there and I think it was due to a sports event at UNC. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room were clean and the furniture appeared new. The room I was in consisted of a king bed, chair with ottoman, end tables with lamps, floor lamp, desk with lamp and chair, mirror, closet, TV in armoire, table, small refrigerator, microwave, closet, ironing board with iron, and safe. The bathroom included a large whirlpool tub/shower. The room was cleaned every day with fresh linen bedding, towels, soap, shampoo, and lotion. I was glad that they didn't skimp on this as other places sometimes do. The complementary breakfast is a must for me and what they had was what I would expect for the price. Breakfast included a hot Belgian waffle maker, cold cereal, instant hot cereal, variety of donuts, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled egg, fruit, juices, and coffee. There was a manager's reception on Wednesday night with food from a local restaurant. The staff often baked fresh cookies for hotel guests. To help keep my travel costs down I purchased frozen dinners at a nearby grocery store and cooked them in the microwave in my room. The free Wi-Fi internet and business center were included and I feel these are essential for any traveler. One website said that the hotel had an agreement with a nearby fitness center for their patrons to be able to use for free. Not true. The hotel fitness center is lacking and had broken equipment. This was a big disappointment for me. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at Comfort Inn and if I return I would not hesitate to stay there again.

shower cap would be nice; the correct size coffee pot for the maker(I had to play with the pot to make the water empty into it)

Really nice, really enjoyed the whirlpool tub in bathroom. The bed was really comfortable. Didn't like that the air conditioner would go off everytime that we would turned off the tv. The location of the hotel was really nice, right of the interstate exit.

Although the hotel was near an undesirable looking area I felt the hotel itself was very safe and secure(I am a young, white female, traveling alone). The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean as well as the lobby area. Free breakfast included sausage gravy and biscuits, bagels, muffins, make your own waffles, grits, oatmeal, a variety of juices, coffee and toast. If I return to Durham i would be happy to stay here again.

Very noisy hotel. Close to freeway and they seem to have a lot of construction guys staying at the hotel who sit outside and drink a lot.

clean and quiet
