Garage is close but not attached, luggage arts are airport type that carry large luggage okay but small items fall off or through. Bathroom is clean but the water only gets tepid at best and has very low water pressure. Mattresses are comfortable but the duvets are so heavy they seem more suited to an Alaskan winter than a Carolina summer. Breakfast doesn't come with the room fee, but we were given a voucher the last day to compensate us for our experience. Even that was below par. It wasn't until we had finished eating the steam containers offerings that I noticed a car on the table that listed cooked to order items available. None of the servers mentioned it when we walked in. If it wasn't for the convenience of the location we would have changed hotels after the first night. Three days was too long.
The beds were very comfortable, but the luxury stopped there. Management needs to step up and train these people. For the price we paid, we shouldn’t have had to deal with so many problems. For one thing, most questions asked at the front desk were met with curt replies. Some answers were completely different from one day to the next. When we first arrived, it was raining. We asked for help with our luggage, but there was none. Next, we were told there was NO food service on the weekends, so we made other arrangements only to find breakfast was served every morning, just not dinner on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. On the first morning, Housekeeping arrived around 10:00, the next day it was after 2:00 before the room was cleaned. After it was pointed out to the front desk that this was an inconvenience, housekeeping knocked on the door before 9:00AM the following two mornings. The handle to the bath was very loose and one other piece of equipment was faulty. Both of these things we fixed ourselves. I have not mentioned every difficulty we encountered. In all, it is mostly a comfortable, newly constructed hotel that could be great, if they ever get their act together. We have belonged to the Hilton Honors program for several years. Friendly, helpful service and comfortable accommodations is what we have come to expect from the Gardens Inn.
The hotel is great, parking is easy, and the restaurants & shops in close walking distance make it a perfect place to stay. I was on a business trip, but will stay here on leisure visits Being near 485 and Providence Road makes getting to other parts of town simple.as well.
Hotel was great- location made it even better. So many shops and restaurants that you could walk to from the hotel. The pool looked very nice too, but it was too cold to go in while I was there. Breakfast looked good, although it was a little pricey.
We had party of 100 for a buddies wedding. I was a groomsman and we all couldnt have been accommodated better. The staff couldnt have handled the amount of us any better than they did...everyone was served with a smile and in a timely manner no matter how rowdy we got throughout the night
Stayed at this hotel last month and I must say it was one of the best stay at any hotel so far.very friendly members of staff, the hotel is located right beside a park and about alot of resturant. It is also a working distance to Home foods and Macdonald. The room is very spacious and beautiful. It just felt like I was right at home. Only thing is their breakfast Menu is not extensive and really doesnt give you a lot of options but the cost is not bad for $12. Overall it was a lovely stay... P.S-They have rooms for special requests too.
Very nice Hotel , staff is very friendly. The location is perfect. Pleanty to do right outside of the hotel. Many places to eat, drink and shop. Safe envronment. HIghly recommend the Hotel for not just business travel but for families as well
The hotel is nicely located in a new area south of Charlotte, the area is full of restaurants. There is a Whole food market and a gym couple of minutes walk. It was convenient to be there attending a seminar all day for a week, it is around 30 min from downtown Charlotte but the traffic is not bad at all.
The hotel is new and clean. The elevated pool area was lovely and private. All of the amenities were within walking distance including shopping, foods as well as a Whole Foods grocery store. Plenty of free parking as well.
Best hotel and best surrounding amenities on the area. Manager , Nicole Handel is one of the most accommodating, friendly, and professional associates I have ever been in contact with in the hotel industry. Thank you Nicole!
