It was a motel. Looked every bit it's age. Peeling paint. Old linens. Stained carpet. Etc.

Not worth more than $49/night. I'm not too picky and have slept in some awful places over the years but this one was a disappointment. I figured if I was paying $80+ it would be half decent but this place is a dump. Refridge was broken. Blankets on bed were scratchy, super cheap, and actually had holes in them. Ceiling had popcorn plaster peeling off in spots. Toilet tank lid was wrong size and covered in cigarette burns... If it was $39/night I would stay the night and just say "you get what you pay for". But when I could have paid just $25 more and gone up the road to the newer hotels, I was really disappointed.

It was great and the staff was great, I will deff be back!

Clean and quiet. Room has everything I needed. But the bathroom was pretty small.

Not too bad for the cost. There was no noise issues. The shower was kind of small.

When I first entered Econolodge it took nearly 5 minutes 2 get service and when it came to checkout time it took the same amount of time. No iron board in the room

You get what you pay for. Just average. Nothing special. It served it's purpose.

We came into town for my sister-in-law's wedding and needed a place to stay that was in between the rehearsal dinner spot and the wedding location. We got there late Friday night and check in was very quick. The rooms were very clean. It was a good place for the value and good location, close to the interstate and only about 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte.

1. Manager put me in a smoking room. I requested non smoking. Manager than question me & my daughter saying that I was a smoker. I never smoked in my life & I am 65. I should know if I smoke or not. 2. Breakfast was beyond bad. Only had some muffins & bagels & cereal which was not fresh. Orange juice was not good quality. 3. Ask for more pillows, did not receive them until next day. 4. Clean rooms?? 5. Lobby computer was not hooked up to a printer 6 I had a king bed with double fitted sheets. Spent a lot of time fixing the sheets. Overall, I would never go back to that hotel again.

I just needed somewhere in the area to sleep for the night so I wasn't looking for anything special. But the room I was put in was actually very well kept. My only complaint is the location. The hotel only has two entrances to it's parking lot and the easiest entrance to use was locked after 7 pm.

this is a tired, old motel that needs updating. almost impossible to find the entrance, located behind a seedy nightclub! as a woman staying alone, I was actually a little nervous. I guess next time I would pay more and stay in a nicer place

I didn't need much. One night arriving late and leaving early. The room was clean, with a couch, a desk, coffee maker, etc. and it had a safe. It was less than half the cost of the hotel across the parking lot. That's a lot more to pay when the only difference was not having a continental breakfast.

hard to open door from inside no exhaust fan in bathroom sink would not drain breakfast a joke strong odor in lobby-garlic? outside dirty

total rip-off for an out of the way middle-lower-class neighborhood. Fridge was TINY - and unplugged!

It was OK for a business night stay.

The only problem I found was the directions on Map Quest took me to a back gate that was locked. The hotel is difficult to get into. You have to go through a back alley and the road in is extremely rough. The staff was very friendly and helpful to my friend and myself. We asked about good restaurants and they suggested a very good Italian restaurant about a mile away. Any time we asked for anything, such as more coffee for our room, they promptly gave it to us. I would most assuredly stay at this hotel the next time I bowl in Charlotte.
