Check in was quick. We were given the room directly above the front door/lobby. I could hear in my room every time someone went thru the sliding front doors. It sounding like someone was sliding furniture around all night.

Great hotel for the price would not hesitate to return.

The hotel and room compared to many other hotels that we have stayed that had a price much higher than what we paid. We loved the design of the room and the furniture.

The stay was avg. at best. The room smelled like smoke. The hotel staff was fair but the cost of the room was confusing. I got a bill for more than was quoted to me. But it did work out in the end. I will not stay there again. Due, the confusion.

Very good choice for the purposes of my trip, I was there just for a night visiting the universities... Very well located, and excellent value for my money

Clean room very close to mall and restaurants. Nice workout and laundry room.

I stayed here during a short research trip to UNC. I wanted a place with a kitchenette and workspace and this little hotel met all my needs. Not only was it clean and comfortable and well-outfitted for 2 people to stay for several days, but the staff were courteous and helpful as well. Although this hotel lies midway between Durham/Duke and Chapel Hill/UNC, I liked the fact that it was quiet and out of the way. The short 10 minute drive to the university was nice and easy. Well worth the time and money saved by being able to prepare some meals myself!

The front desk staff was personable, efficient and helpful. I enjoyed having the fitness room, computer room and laundry facilities at my fingertips. The room was adequately stocked and the bed extremely comfortable!

We were in a suite and room and kitchen area clean. Tried to print in computer room and no ink in printers. Needed new batteries for remote control and no extra batteries at front desk. Computer room was locked up before 11pm and I needed to print off boarding passes. Had to run down night gentleman to open computer room up. Too bad the desk does not stay open all night. Some of us come in late.

Had all of the amenities we were looking for: fitness center, refrigerator, and microwave. Good value.

Reminds me of a B grade Time Share or a smalll efficiency apartment. Convenient room amenities for in room comfort and meal preparation. Great if you're on a budget. Comfortable bed with reasonably sized room. Heating/Air Conditioning unit way too loud as was the refrigerator motor. Clean room. Good Value, would stay again.

The kitchenette had a full-size refridgerator, microwave, stove, and flatware. There is a small help-yourself pantry/store that sells snacks, food and drink items that is open 24 hours a day. It was very convienient if you plan on spending a couple nights there. The rooms were neat and clean. Room service will only come if requested, which is actually kind of nice. Laundry facility, too!

The rooms were clean and quiet, but it did have the ambiance of "The Shining." Had to call for someone to report to the front desk at check in and departure. Never even came to the front desk at departure just provided instructions on how to check out. In spite of price, will not return probably as it "creeped out" my daughter.

A very nice place to stay while exploring Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. It's not overly fancy, but the suites have everything you would need and are clean and comfortable. I asked for a room on the second floor and was readily accommodated by the very friendly, helpful and professional staff. It was very quiet and restful.

I've stayed at candlewood hotels in the past. I've always had a good experience. This hotel isn't as modern as the others. They don't have the flat screen t.v.'s and the air conditioner is a bit noisy, but other than that, the rooms are nice. The beds are quite comfortable and the kitchen area is clean. The towels are the best, better than other major chains I've visited in the past. The free laundry service came in handy because I stayed for a week. And, the exercise room is ok. They allow you to borrow DVDs from their small movie collection, which is nice. Most of the staff was pleasant with the exception of one gentleman who actually grunted when I asked him for more toilet tissue at the front desk. I couldn't believe that! Oh yes, very often there is no one at the front desk but there is a phone there to call someone directly to come help you if needed. Hopefully, you won't get the same individual. This hotel is very close to Golden Corral, Starbucks, Wendy's, Chik-fil-A, and about two miles from Shorepoints Mall (beautiful mall, can spend all day there). Overall, the hotel is a decent choice.
