Red Roof Inn Durham - Triangle Park

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I had a non smoking room that smelled like an ashtray wasn't able to sleep also head a spring or 2 poking me in my back wouldn't recommend this place . Also had 2 hookers approach me oon way to my room .

Good location. Bathroom - terrible! Too small, dirty wall , no lock. Beds were clean. Staff was nice.

Room had a strong smell of urine, probably from dogs. At night roaches made their way out to play on the walls and in the bath tub.

Room was newly remodeled but a little rough around the edges. Shower had great water pressure and staff was very friendly.

This place is a 2.5 out of 5. There was dust along the floors against the walls and the tv remote was broken. The vending/ice machine area had a microwave that was covered in grime. The a/c unit in my room was extremely loud on any setting other than the fan. The pillows were very flat (there were three standard sized pillows on my king sized bed). Some of the other guests were a bit creepy, they stared me down as I walked by as they drank booze from the back of their pick up truck, which had been backed into the parking space close to their room door. While having creepy guests is not the fault of the hotel staff, there is nothing about the property that gives off a sense of security. I didn't feel very safe as a woman traveling alone. The immediate area itself is not interesting. There was a sushi restaurant (very good), a Waffle House (didn't try it), and a gas station within walking distance, and that was it.

The Red Roof Inn isn't luxurious, it's practical. It's inexpensive, so expect it to seem like that. But not in a dirty way. The location is in the middle of the three cities, meaning it's near nothing at all. There's a half price sushi place (Sansui) next door and a dive bar a block up (Bralie's) that I'd recommend.

My room wasn't ready I had to wait about 30 minutes even though I should up an hour after check in because I reserved my room online. Once again the comforters looked dirty because of stains. So I just took it off the bed. They don't havery any amenities so the rooms should be cheaper.

My reservation had been lost but I was put in a more expensive room but I got it for the same price. I really appreciated that. However the comforter on the bed was dirty and placed back on the bed twice. I had to go to the office to complain. I had and ironing board with no iron. Other than that overall it was a very nice spacious room.

While this was a cheap overnight stay, having a non-functional shower and no hot water pressure at all for a bath to go along with a lack of amenities really put a damper on things. The heater (that you couldn't turn off) made a noise all night and you could hear it over the AC when it was on so it made for a very long night. I mentioned all of this to the front desk staff and they didn't really seem to care at all. He just said oh that's weird. They also didn't care to ask about how my stay was, they just wanted me to check out and go on my way.

I had to stay over night for my job at the last minute and had to find a room quickly. The hotel is always clean and neat and the staff is very professional. The rate is affordable and there is easy access to the highway and dinning options are close by the hotel.

They are ok! If you don`t have car, you have to take bus and wait long time. The hotel is far from airport.

This was my third stay here. It is more than adequate for a night or two if you just need a place to stay overnight. The price is good and my stay was very comfortable. I would go back again. TV was very good with a good selection of channels. Alarm clock was provided for early wake-up times. Other hotels in this price range lack greatly in the cleanliness and comfort.

The room was clean but small and didn't have much amenities

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the front desk staff was friendly and courteous. Overall great value, good choice to stay if you want to be close to RTP and just need a clean, affordable place to spend the night.

Typical 2 star motel, it's a place to sleep with a good bed and close to sights.

Located away from downtown, near several gas stations.

I am in Durham often and need a nice clean affordable room for short weekend stays. This Red Roof Inn has always been a great choice.

The area is somewhat sketchy. The night we got in we saw somebody helping a drunk walk around the parking lot. Our second day they would not let us change rooms because we booked through this website. Our second night our neighbors were loud disruptive and vulgar and it took a visit to the office and a phone call to have something done. The staff that I dealt with were friendly and courteous however.

For the price this hotel doesnt compare to the rest in the same price range...IT SURPASSES THEM ALL! Excellent customer service and the room was really nice and clean!

Killed a coach roach as soon as I walked in the door!!! Gross!!!
