The only thing good about this place was that Brianna, the desk manager, gave us our money back so we didn't have to stay the night. One look at the room and my wife wanted no part of it. The bed was dirty, even though it was made up to look fresh! We never see that nonsense anywhere. The door insulation had come loose, smoke filled the air everywhere outside, and the place just seemed anything but inviting. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else than this! Trip Advisor failed us on this one, sorry to say.
Room was outdated but the customer service was excellent upon check in. Basically it’s a hotel for all the things you need if you were home. Comfortable bed, kitchen, fridge, etc. No complaints, and I would stay here again.
This is to tell you how wonderful and exciting it is to be in this hotel. My visit has been very pleasurable. The staff is so accommodating and eager to please. You ask and they promptly get busy helping you. This morning we woke up to hear the whistling and loud roar of a wind that was extremely angry. Of course, unfortunately, due to the weather issue, the electricity was promptly terminated and we were in the dark for approximately two hours. Immediately the professional and experienced personnel of the hotel were contacting the appropriate skilled craftsmen and it wasn't long before the lights were on and "the happy place" was smiling again. It is so nice to know you're being taken care of whether it's light or dark. I truly feel so grateful to be a visitor at a hotel that makes me feel like being part of a great big family. Also my guest room was very spacious and completely equipped.for comfort and dining. And, by the way, I found the location to be very convenient for shopping and dining out or just enjoying Raleigh's beautiful scenery. I so look forward to a return trip very soon!
I've stayed at various ESAs in the past, and overall, have a had a perfectly fine experience.....Unfortunately, this was not the case with this location. The man who checked me in was very nice, and was simple and painless.....The room was fine....The bed was a little too firm for my personal taste, but it wasn't that big of a deal...... Overnight, the batteries in my remote died. I came down to the Front Desk around 7:30am to see if they had any batteries. The lady there said she didn't have any immediately available, but she'll get some when housekeeping/maintenance came in at 8. Kinda sucks, but no big deal. 8am past......9am past....Around 9:30 I called the Front Desk to check on the batteries, and was told that she still haven't been able to them....By 4-5pm came around and 2 more calls up front, I ended up going to the local convenience store to get my own batteries.....Needless to say I wasn't too happy about this. I shouldn't have to spend $5-6 to get batteries for a hotel remote. It wasn't until the next morning when FINALLY someone came up with batteries.......A little over 24hrs later. But the BIGGEST thing is the fact that after 4 nights at this location, there are rashes and bug bites on my legs that were NOT there when I checked in.....I don't know if it was bed bugs or something else, but needless to say, I am not too happy about this. Overall, I like ESA as a value hotel brand.....This was the worst experience I've had at one of your properties.... While the man who checked me in was nice, and none of the staff were necessarily rude, the fact that nothing got done over the battery issue and the fact that my legs have bug bites and rashes all over them, I was extremely dissatisfied with this location
My boyfriend and I stayed at this property for a little over a month when we moved here suddenly due to an unexpected job offer. The hotel was very basic except for the full kitchen. We had a queen suite which was very spacious. The best part of our stay was the excellent customer service that we received on a daily basis from Chenek. She was always kind, helpful, patient, pleasant and very accommodating. I'm a Travel Agent so I purposely take notice of the level of customer service that I receive while staying at any property. I was impressed with Chenek. Now housekeeping slacked just a little at times however whenever I reported an issue it was always addressed and resolved. I have stayed at a couple of other ESA properties in the RDU area and this is the best one. I would stay at this property again.
I would lile to say our visit to this Extended stay America on 921 wake town drive was wonderful! Chenek was very nice to my babe and i. She made the check-in/ check-out processes a breeze! 😊 Even though we were tired and anxious to get into our room, Chenek was polite, kind, understanding and handled us well!
Untrained front desk clerk working solo didn't know how to check us in, had us come back later to make payment. Bathroom toilet seat problem & told us to come to front desk for plunger when toilet stopped working, and dirty tub surround. Stained carpeting. Driveway untouched from snow 2 days ago. No coffee, cups, muffins, or oatmeal as promised, even at 7:30 AM two days. And there's more! Will never return. Excessive noise from people and dogs after 11 PM.
I experienced having a room that was not cleaned and ready for a guest at time of check-in. If the head housekeeper had of checked the room she would of seen the debris in the toilet, the trash around the fridge and pizza box left in it along with the leak and crack, the dirtiness of the stove and oven and entire kitchen area, as well as the condition of the carpet just looking in the room.
I have stayed at this hotel several days a month for 1 1/2 years. Over this period of time the breakfasts (included) now offer coffee with no sugar only. No grits, no oatmeal, no granola bar, no muffins. 5 visits in a row I was told the same BS excuse, the truck will be here on Friday. Pure BS. My room was dirty, the toilet was dirty, the dish detergent was open and used and left on the back counter not even by the sink. The non-smoking room had the window open on arrival and smelled very much like smoke. Cigarettes this time, not marijuana like last visit. I will not be returning again.
I'm very disappointed with my stay the room I had is infested with bed bug. I did not get any sleep for two nights. I stayed at the location plenty of times but this stay was the worst. I never had a problem like this before I would not expect this from a hotel of this nature.
