Even though we were not allow to use amenities because of hurricane irma. The hotel still charged us the free stating it was for the meals they provided to the guest during the hurricane.

the beach was nice the pool was nice...the only complainant is too high prices food and drinks, also parking charge is ridicules. Happy hour is not so happy limited drink specials...cost 13.75 for a pina colada!! My boyfriend wanted a tequila shot wanted 15.00!! that's crazy. We went to Old San Juan parked for over 6 hours only 4.00 got drinks 2 for one came out only 6.00. that's way better way to get tourist to come in to Puerto Rico.

Our safe did not work, sliding door to the balcony was broke, and the windowed in the hallway looking outside were dirty.

Spent a lot of my vacation time moving from room to room due to bathroom flooding. My final room in my stay was in need of applicable upgrades along with items in need of repair. The room phones did not work, the jacuzzi tube would not stay plug and the house keeping did not do a good job in cleaning the room for us. I spent more time moving from room to room versus enjoying my stay.

Arrived at the hotel and checked in with Marcos. Explained to him that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. He took are of us in all areas and even gave us a choice of rooms to choose from. He was very patient and very attentive to detail. That's how you make a couple feel like they can't wait to return....Thanks a bunch Marcos for that great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staff was very friendly, beautiful property. Food was expensive

Thought when I booked through orbitz everything was taken care of. Didn't know about the resort fee until after I booked, on top of the it was 200 dollars a day. And I only used it two times out of the 4 days I stayed. That was very disappointing. Thought that it would at least be included with the total cost or I would not have purchased.

It has a a nice pool and private beach. I would have like for the hotel entertainment music at night to be better/ more tropical it was too American. We had to go out every night to other hotels to look for better ambient. Parking is very expensive $21 daily (that's the cost of a rental car per day :-0 or $28 daily if its valet parking.... too much) Hotel taxes at the end of the trip where kind of high too $300 for 5 days. Hotel was clean, nice pool and private beach, staff was very polite but personally, next time I will stay in a different hotel.

It was a great time at the hotel. Very helpful staff. Beautiful location. Splendid beach and pool.

Cons: When we arrived the first thing I noticed in the room was that the door sensor didn't work properly. They have it set up so that when you open the sliding door the AC turns off. The only problem was that it didn't turn back on. Each morning it was very loud in the room as there was some kind of construction going on somewhere. Every time I called the desk they seemed to be confused. Additionally there is not any sound barriers between the rooms and our neighbors were very loud. All of the restaurants are super expensive (which I expected, but it does dampen ones mood) and the resort fee is currently around $24.00 a day which I was not aware of when booking. When you go to the pool your bags are checked like it's a prison and at night the kids jump off the hot tub area like it's a fun park (not the most romantic or relaxing). Pros: The pool area is well maintained and the views are beautiful. It was easy to get to and from the airport.

Dirty rooms, dusty lamps, bathroom grout was dirty and needed to be cleaned or replaced

Great location with beach and pool areas, but no entertainment or even music playing for dancing except on Fridays and Saturdays. They have a bar on the pool and hot tub side but close at 9pm even for those over 21yrs of age and older. The bar inside has no music or anything to entertain guests after 9pm Sunday - Thursday. Parking is $28/day. the staff was very nice, but for a tourist area hotel it was dead in the evenings for entertainment.

The experience was good. The cleaness of the room excellent. The Starbucks in the pool area it's a hit! Must have another one like that but with food. Another franchise..

The view was great I was on the top floor (10th). It was modern and everything was clean. The staff was very nice and they were accomodating. Miguel at Mortons bar was my favorite he was super sweet and he spoke to my friend and I like we'd known each other for years instead of days. So even if you don't stay here go visit him trust me his drinks are great and he's a nice guy! Overall staying here made PR so much fun.

Stayed 5 days here didn't want to go home.... the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was beautiful and the food and drinks were great. Definitely would come here again !!!!

I had a great stay at the Caribe Hilton San Juan. Although I had arrived early the front desk personnel was able to get me settled in a comfortable and clean room with a wonderful view of the beach and pool area! When room service was unable to come in a timely fashion I was notified and a wonderful woman named Martha came within the hour and was very efficient and kind! While staying at Caribe I took advantage of the Kayak and Bicycle rental as well as the swim up bar and the hammocks! Oh how much we loved the hammocks can not be explained :) All service workers were extremely kind and helpful and suggested great places to visit! I would recommend and stay again

Amazing experience! The resort accommodated its guests in every way. The employees were very nice.

This was a great place to stay and very family friendly. This facility has so much history such as birthplace of the Pina Colada. Sadly they don't point out that this was this first big Hotel in San Juan built in 1949. Or the famous list of celebrities that have stayed there over the years. Our room over looked the garden with the fish pond and peacocks, swans, geese, and ducks. This garden is a nice touch for relaxing and feeding the fish and fowl. Yes some complain about the few tattered umbrellas around the pool bar. Overall this facility has much personality. A welcome change from the sterile cold hard modern resorts being built now.

For an entire day and night of stay, our entire floor was without power, including air conditioning and running water. Though such things are subject to occur, the fact the Management took no remedial action with respect to refunds, comps, or anything at all, was rather outrageous. Everyone on that floor should have received a refund for at minimum that night and consideration on top. Not looking for a handout, but even a Motel 6 would have extended some gratuity. We were pre-paid on Orbitz, and my experience is that gets you treated like a second-rate guest, which I have never understood. Nonetheless, the situation was not handled properly and there were a number of very upset guests.

Phone was stolen. Hotel staff didn't help and said it was our fault. Had to wait an hour and a half past check in time to check in
