What happened to the Courtyard Marriott brand?

Truly disappointed in this hotel. Nothing exceptional except local to justify the high price. The room looked like it was decorated from the Sale aisle at IKEA. Two tiny drawers and one tiny cubby hole (not closet) for storage, minimalist linens, like warm shower water, no maid service. The only positive was all the restaurants close by. Nothing Marriott worthy.

There was a weird scent in the sheets. Another concern with it was the fact that the rooms are attached to the point where you can open a door to the next room. Makes it very uncomfortable especially for noisy people. One more thing they made it seem as if there was breakfast available on the website but it was in fact not. And the Starbucks is not what we were hoping it to be, only had coffee. The Starbucks 15 minutes away in the hospital was better. Only good thing was the staff, very friendly and quick to help out when alerted with a noise concern as well as anything else.

I was told they would only clean the room every 2-3 days but if we needed anything to let them know. I called for more towels; the guy only bought 2 towels (there was 3 of us in the room. We went out to dinner that night and when we returned, I asked the girl for more coffee, she informed me there should be coffee in our room. I told her we had drank it that morning, she gave me 2 pods with 3 of us standing there.

From all the Marriott hotels, this one wasn't in standards to what Marriott is all about. Was disappointed with the experience maybe its this property location or maybe the renovations, or maybe the service from guest services! paid top dollar for the location & never got the quality out of it! overall Marriott stays true to their quality & service which i never got here. I hope next Courtyard experience isn't this way!

Great choice

Very friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms. A bit noisy due to proximity to the the main road to the beaches but great location and access to downtown Pensacola and beaches.
