We stayed at this resort for a Cheerleading Championship event. We were frustrated and disappointed by the confusing on-again/off-again transportation to and from the airport and the actual Cheer Event that was moved from Universal to the OC Convention Center (rather last minute). We ended up having to pay an additional $120 in taxi/uber/lift rides due to this change. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort and will definitely return in the future.

Would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

Great place for a family with children!

Good

I liked how the whole hotel had a 1950’s theme

Great price and easy going . Great price and easy going .

The property is old and tired and not well maintained. It’s super convenient for enjoying the universal water park, but the property is run down and needs updating. It was pretty dirty, and the pool was full of junk. The room itself was clean enough. It just feels like a very standard, super 8 kind of property that needs a good cleaning and some refreshing.

I liked the retro vibe but the room was very basic and needed a little updating (showerhead, tiles in shower, caulk around shower). Only one restaurant with limited food options outside of breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. I liked the private entrance to Volcano Bay.

Kids loved the pools and lazy river. Buses were always available and well organized. Rooms were nice but could use a little updating. One elevator was broken our entire stay which was a little inconvenient since we were on the third floor. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The resort is nice, the theme is really cute and the staff tried to ensure safety. They always wore masks and there were temperature checks done daily. The bus to universal was always available. The only reason I won’t go back is the rooms. They are really small!! The bathroom is really small!! It just wasn’t comfortable for a family of four but otherwise a nice hotel.

Very happy with our stay.

While the staff are always great and very helpful when we stay here, there wasn’t enough of them given the fact that it was spring break- so long lines for check in, temp checks, and getting meals. And while they strictly enforced mask wearing and temperature checks of the hotel guests, most of the hotel’s hand sanitizing stations were empty every time we tried to use them.

We enjoyed Cabana Bay’s shuttle service to the park but wUnless you are trying to go for early entrance to the park

I wished the lobby bar was open during the week. Otherwise I was pleased with my stay.

Great place to stay! Friendly staff, transportation to Universal. Nice pool area

Staff great, rooms are clean Food is ok but limited if you are vegetarian Transport to city walk is great
