Love this hotel / resort. Have stayed there twice. It's a large complex with alott to do great outdoor areas. The decor has a retro vibe the color scheme is fun and bright. The hotel is clean, the rooms are very comfortable. There is a large cafeteria style dining with plenty of choices, a little market to buy snacks did etc... While you eat there are large screens playing retro commercials from the 50s and 60s. Universal studios is just a shuttle ride away that leaves every 10 minutes from the resort. I will definitely return

We were thrilled with the beachside complex and our 11th floor view of Volcano Bay! The room was larger than we expected and very clean. We enjoyed the entire retro theme! Every staff member was wonderful!!

I honestly loved this hotel so much. I’m sure it helped that we went in January so it was pretty calm and quiet, but the mid century vibe made me feel totally transported to another era. Everything was beautifully designed and laid out. The pools were great, we had dinner one night at the hideaway bar (atmosphere great, food pretty standard uninspiring hotel fare), had drinks at the Swizzle, played on the water slide at night under the string lights. Pretty dreamy. We also stayed in a family suite which was very nicely spacious - made a 4 day work trip feel a bit more luxurious.

The hotel had several things to do from bowling to arcade room and bar with live music however the room was not impressive. The beds did not have fitted sheets on them and the cover was thin. The room cleanliness was nothing at all to brag about. The tub was dirty (I cleaned with products I bought) The daily re-clean was not helpful when it came to the bathroom. We stayed a total of 5 days and wish I would have paid a couple hundred dollars more for a nicer room.

We stayed for 7 days family travel holly days very clean . Nice breakfast. Nice pools

We loved the resort! We visited during the Christmas holiday, which was a very busy time, but staff were wonderful and made the holiday special. I would highly recommend this resort to families. Hard to beat the amenities and having access to the other Lowes hotel facilities on the Universal grounds was an added treat.

Spent 5 days in Orlando. This property is immediately adjacent to Volcano Island. We didn't try to walk to the other theme parks but I imagine it would be a relatively benign 20-30min walk to the city walk. Was a 15-30$ Uber ride to Disney attractions.

Hotel is very convenient to universal, and they provide transportation. So much to do at the hotel swimming, arcade, bowling. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Great stay!

Cabana Bay is nice. My husband loves the nostalgia. It’s a better deal than some places though expensive at New Years

This hotel has a free shuttle to City Walk and the parks. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very helpful. I enjoyed the lazy river and fire pit.The bartenders make good drinks .

Pleasantly surprised, great view, kids loved the lazy river, food reasonably priced, love the shuttle service, con- no real discounts to other universal attractions

The whole family will going to enjoy this resort of any age group they have two swimming pool and you can see the volcano bay in one of the pool they have Starbucks inside the hotel which we love they have arcade games bonefire plus retro theme is beautiful

Food outlets and activities ie pool, bowling etc. are great - especially if vacationing with kids. Our kids favorite day of entire Disney/Universal vacation was staying at hotel and playing at pool (kids are 3 and 5). Variety of food options at Diner also accommodated everyone likes. Staff was beyond friendly. room was spacious and sliding door separating bedroom from living room was perfect.

I like.very much this hotel, it is near to places to shop and good restaurants. The food is delicious and I like very much the cup that you buy to refill all the days of your staying. The wather of the pool should be warmer and I think should be better if the parking be free.

Love the "50's retro" theme. Free shuttle to and from Universal was very convenient. They anticipated busy times and provided larger charter buses so the wait times were bearable. Weather prevented use of the pool but the areas were clean, staff helpful. I'd stay here again.

With always staying at a Disney Resort, decided to change it up. The rooms were smaller than what we expected, the grounds weren’t as clean, but we can be picky. The hotel was decorated for the holidays which was really pretty. We paid to bowl, which you have to pay for mins, versus per game. By the time they got us all situated with the lane issue we only bowled for maybe 19 mins but paid for 45 mins, but you t was fun. The food is really good at Galaxy Bowl. Daughter loved the lazy river, but if you want a tube to float on you have to buy one. And the goat shack is only open till 5, so if you come in after the parks and wanna swing and float your outta luck. We bought ours early in the day and when we went to the pool that night kept having people trying to take our floats. Which I think is crazy you have to buy them....parking is another issue. They charge you to park per day... we did not know that, when we asked the staff about parking, they say they charge because if not people would park there and then go to the park. But you have to have a room key in order to get thru the gate?? And as universal pass holders we get free parking at the park, so we would have been better off parking at universal then paying $14 to park at the hotel. All in all it was fun, but they charge for everything little thing which we are not use to.

Very welcoming staff and clean site pools were very clean fresh towel were steadily available....

Good the food , the rooms are clean, thepool is amazing..

This isn’t fancy and the rooms, especially the bedding, are pretty uncomfortable. But, the pool is great and there is a nice bar by the pool. There are shuttles to Universal and there is a hidden walkway that goes right there. Overall, it’s good for the money and I would stay here again!

Great hotel & experience a touch of old. Even Zest soap & V05 shampoo. Pools were great & never waited for shuttle service to City Walk & Parks Walked to Volcano Bay. Would definitely recommend the Family suite
