Our stay at Cartier Place Suite Hotel was overall fine, but there were a few drawbacks that made the experience less than ideal. The location is quite convenient close to downtown Ottawa and within walking distance of many attractions. The room itself was clean and functional, though nothing particularly memorable. The biggest issue we had was with parking. Street parking was difficult to find, and the hotel’s underground parking was surprisingly expensive at $38 per night. Thankfully, we discovered that Ottawa City Hall offers overnight parking for just $2 a night a huge price difference and something worth knowing ahead of time. Staff was polite, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Overall, the stay was okay, but the parking situation left a bit of a sour note.

The Cartier Place is a nice suite hotel in which the kitchens come fully equipped making for a comfortable stay. It is an older property which looks a bit dated, but it is clean and comfortable with nice service and an unbeatable location between Elgin St and the Canal, with an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, groceries, and downtown. I enjoy staying at the Cartier Place suite hotel.

We had a very comfortable stay with five adults. We were in town for a conference, and the full kitchen, two bedrooms, and sofa bed made it a great little suite to stay in. Handy location, restaurants all around, and about a 10 to 15 minute walk over to the convention centre (if you take the route along the canal rather than the longer road-only path). The staff were helpful, professional, and friendly, and we had a very nice stay!
