Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

We had the best view on Niagara Falls ever from our room. Close, walking distance to so many attractions and restaurants. We loved it! Grace

Air conditioner didn’t work , lights were very dim , bathtub was very slippery for shower

The view to the Falls was gorgeous. Seeing the waterfall daytime and nighttime from that height (15th floor) is spectacular. At almost $400 a night for the room you would expect a clean, well kept room, even if the furniture may be a little outdated. What was really surprising to me that parking wasn't included in the price, so all together we paid about $450 for one night just to see Niagara Falls from above. Not again!

Staff was friendly and helpful And it was very close to falls, I have a very nice view of both falls from my room. My room was on 11th floor Beds were comfy Rooms were clean😊 Need upgrades Also tv channels were not coming Overall very good experience

Close to the falls, but only if you take the tram going down to the falls, which cost money, almost front of the hotel . So if you want to go down to the falls, you need to walk around the Casino next door, and down to the falls. Its not bad, only a few minutes walk. The view from the hotel is food, but on the lower levels it is nothing spectacular, due to trees begin in the way. Beware of the way the rooms are marked when you purchase them . I purchased one from 3-8 floor, but got placed on the second floor as they stated " the hotel is sold out and you arrived late" . They gave away my room to someone who had arrived earlier in the day . We were very unhappy about that.

Would have been nice if the bathrooms were larger and there was a bar and breakfast on site. But the view of the falls was AMAZING.

Convenient location. No other positive feedback. Parking price is exorbitant, the appendix they put us in lacks elevator, old and looks messy. The “courtyard vie” room turned out to be overlooking a garbage dumpster and a restaurant parking lot. No business center or a computer/printer at least, WiFi is slow and drops connection.

We came for a specific reason of staying high enough in the building so that we could see the falls, but were given a room on 3rd floor and so the falls view was blocked off by trees.

I paid for a River view, I got a view of the parking lot and said it's by the river.

the proximity to the falls, the views from the room, handicapped accessible, excellent location.

Nice view of the falls from the hotel room. Pool was alright and hot tub decent. Walking distance to almost everything.

The view of the falls is amazing!!! It's worth the price just for the view. The rooms are large and comfortable.

Great location. Hotel was adequate, a place to sleep.

You've got to do something about the keys. We had to get them reset at least 20 times. This is a real pain if you're on the 11th floor. They wouldn't even open the parking lot gate. Everyone was having trouble with them. The staff said it was because they were close to our credit cards and car keys. We literally carried them in our hands and they still didn't work.

location is great, but everything is OLD. Facility is not like what was shown on the photo.

The central location and close proximity to the Canadian falls is the real draw. The staff is nice and the complimentary coffee bar is helpful in the morning. Parking is not free but you can find better rates if you don't mind walking a block (we parked at oakes cuz it was just so darn convenient!)

Beautiful view of Niagara falls. Easy access to lots of fun things.
