Having our pet with us during the stay greatly improved the overall experience and saved us additional boarding expenses.
Nice renovations but had trouble w TV and no HOT water on the first day and had to make calls. Telephone in first room also did not work and had to call a maintenance person at the onset. Was first booked into smaller room with double bed even though reservation was for kong bed. Had to make the switch of rooms after a long day of travel. Lobby bathrooms and public area bathrooms were all out of order. Business center wifi kept dropping out. Pretty hotel but lots of issues that no one seemed to be that concerned about. They need to do much better before I would stay there again. Food in restaurant was excellent and wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. Would only recommend this hotel after they have finished all of their renovations and made changes.
This hotel is an excellent value for business travelers, with clean and functional rooms, helpful staff, and a great self-serve business center open 24 hours/day. Starbucks off lobby, and top-notch restaurant as well. Location can't be beat. My go-to hotel in downtown Ottawa.
Nice stay there, I will choose lord again in the future.
Good location in downtown Ottawa. Staff were really terrific - they made me feel right at home.
We found the hotel comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly!
I have stayed at the Lord Elgin Several times. It has always been a great experience. This time however I was a bit disappointed in the room selection. My view was grand. I was on the 3rd floor looking at an AC unit. I was hoping that booking a room in advance would give me a better selection. As usual. Nothing is free in Ottawa. Being prepared that the only option for parking is valet. Again, overall I love this hotel. The staff is great. The location is perfect.
The hotel was located in downtown Ottawa, close to many attractions and restaurants. The rooms were large and clean. The buffet breakfast was your typical buffet breakfast and I had it once. I ordered a la carte for the rest of my stay. Overall a very nice hotel.
Went sightseeing, near parliment but not near any shops or restaurants. If returning to Ottawa would stay in the neighborhood of Chateau Lauier which is better for tourist. In general hotel was nice.
The hotel is right downtown, we were able to walk everywhere. The staff was very nice and the room was great. Very enjoyable stay and reasonably priced.
