After a day filled with travel delays, we arrived late and tired at the hotel. We were very rudely greeted by a little blonde lady at the front desk who clearly felt we weren't worth her time. The elevators that took us up to our room on the bajillionth-floor took forever to arrive, and the ride up was even longer. Issues with the room: - filled with only enough towels and toiletries for just 1 person (when the reservation was clearly for 2 adults) - non-adjustable thermostat (kept at a constant 65 F) - a shower setup that flooded the rest of the bathroom once you opened the shower door - fire alarms going off whenever Cleaning staff were okay, though. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

The exterior of the hotel is a dated 1980's design, but the interior is updated, contemporary and comfortable. The hotel amenities are not robust, but the location with an adjacent interior atrium with restaurants, shops, and interior access to the subway station make it convenient and easy for getting into downtown. The room was quiet and comfortable.

convenient location to nearby places, shopping, food and entertainment

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location. Shops, restaurants, groceries, and subway right there. Park next door. We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back.

Great hotel. We booked in May to be close to the fireworks for canada day. Couldn't get any closer! The hotel is adjacent to the mall. Out the door through the food court and out to the park. Less than 5 mins. For a city hotel the room was decent sized and clean. We've stayed in smaller rooms downtown.

The staff is very friendly and courteous. The hotel is in a great location which also connects to a shopping mall with a food court that provides an international flavor of cuisines and a 2nd Cup coffee shop.

Soso I don't like some of their service but some of them were kind

Accessible to public transportation, shopping ang restaurants.

Hotel location is accessible to a lot of good restaurants, it's also accessible to public transportation. Although, we drove and park in their garage.

We've stayed here a number of times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room has always been clean and the beds are comfortable. It's so convenient that you can access the subway without going outside in bad weather, and you can also get across the street to the Loblaw's (supermarket) and movie theater without going outside. The parking garage provides generous parking spaces and it's never been over-crowded.

Staff very helpfull with my problem wine glass stain on bedsheet .maid forgot to change sheets. hotel gave me a bottle of wine and new sheet @10 pm i arrived from dinner

I liked that you can access it from the subway without going outside. It has indoor access to many places to eat, which is also a plus in messy weather. The free wifi was reliable and speed was decent. I didn't use the pool or fitness centre. I liked the wood bathroom floors, that was interesting. I would stay there again if I need to be in the area and would recommend.

I thought the hotel was clean, great location beside subway with a lot of amenities and it was overall a good stay. At 180cnd however, i expected that atleast parking (an extra 17.00$) or breakfast would be included. Something to keep in mind.

Comfortable, good location. Staff friendly. Accessible by public transportation.

Easy - no issues, clean and well located. Staff were super friendly, gave my 4 year old daughter some toys to play with on checkin that were great.

Room rate is more expensive during the week rather than weekend. very good location. Staff are generally helpful in N. American standards.

Smallest hotel room I've ever been in. No microwaves, my son has type 1 diabetes and needs to eat on a schedule but we had no way to heat up his food. Front desk was nice enough to heat it up for us in their restaurant. At $150 a night and $17 parking per day I would expect a larger room. Subway station is right next to hotel which was perfect. Breakfast was $15 per person and is definitely not worth it, but if you have kids under 16 they eat for free so it was only $30 for a family of 4 which was good. I will never stay here again as for the price I'd expect a little bit more.

Expensive parking fee. Should be free parking. Small rooms. No fan in bathrooms.

We've stayed at the Novotel on multiple occasions over the last three years. Our experience has always been good. The king size beds are very comfortable, and housekeeping does a good job cleaning. Unfortunately, there is comfortable seating in the room for only one person. The second person has to use the desk chair, which isn't very comfortable. On this most recent stay, we were on the fifth floor, the lowest level we have ever stayed on. There was some kind of water noise that went on all night. We couldn't tell if it was a toilet in an adjacent room, or the equipment on the roof just outside our window. As far as meals go, we've eaten at the hotel restaurant (Trio) only for breakfast, with mixed results. The breakfast buffet includes the option of an omelet, which my husband has tried twice. First time, the omelet didn't come until after we were finished with everything else. Second time, he ordered a ham omelet which came with no ham. A new breakfast restaurant has just opened a couple of blocks down Yonge Street, which we will try next time. There are other restaurants within walking distance as well. The parking garage is good, with generous parking spaces and no tight turns. The subway can be reached without going outside, and so can the Loblaw's supermarket and movie theaters across Yonge Street.. Other than the on-site restaurant, this is a great place to stay in North York, and we will be staying there again.

Hotel is in same building as subway station making it a convenient place to stay when coming to Toronto. Being north of the heart of downtown Toronto, it is just a short subway to Union Station. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We came back to the hotel after a concert at the Air Canada Centre and were looking to get something to eat. The restaurant was already closed for the night so we went to the front desk and received the number of a pizza place that delivers to the hotel. We went to the bar for a drink and the bartender got us a bowl of chips to munch on. The room we had was clean and did not show a lot of wear and tear except the desk unit. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable. The noise from the construction site across the street in the morning was a bit loud.
