The Comfort Inn is listed as a 2 star hotel, which I agree, and it totally exceeded my expectations. When I look for a place to stay, I look for safety, cleanliness and affordability and the Comfort Inn checks all 3. My room had been updated with modern fixtures and looked quite nice. The staff were all pleasant, and the Inn has a decent location next to the hi-way (though the street it is on is a little dark). That said, if I am ever in St. Catharines again, I would definitely stay here again.
When making an on-line reservation, and booking a pet-friendly room, there is no mention of a pet fee. Similarly when checking in, you are told that if you have a pet in the room, they will not provide housekeeping during my 2 night stay. So why is it that the first time you are told about a $20 pet fee, is when it appears on your check-out statement, already charged to your credit card? The staff are very friendly and courteous, the room was clean, especially the bathroom which is great. The shower was particularly GREAT, lots of water pressure. Although located immediately beside a busy highway, the outside noise wasn't too bad in our room. This could be a factor for rooms "facing" Dunlop St. The cost of the room was reasonable for the quality provided.
I made a reservation in Switzerland to stay at a Comfort Inn close to where my family and friends are living. I selected the Comfort Inn on Dunlop Street in St Cathrines. I stayed at the Inn from the 29th of September until the 5th of October. The receptionist at Checkin was very pleasant, kind and efficient. The Checkin was fast and smooth. I was allocated a room on the ground floor, which was very clean , and had all the basic necessities. The WiFi was easy to log in and was fast. During my stay I had the opportunity to talk to some of the front office staff, namely Minnie and Cindy and the General Manager Taj. Excellent staff members very dedicated to their work ,and Minnie has already 15 years of service to her credit. The management should be proud to have such long standing and caring staff. The only negative point is the lack of a good restaurant. The existing one is so poorly patronised, that you don’t feel of going to them a second time. The hotel should consider running there own restaurant and at least offer a good breakfast. The hotel rates are fair, but on the high side when compared to similar hotels in Europe. Worthwhile a stay, and I will definitely return sooner than later. Thanks for your kind hospitality. Warm regards , Randolph Perera Zurich Switzerland 09.10.2019
We stayed there for 3 nights. Nicely renovated hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Dog friendly wonderful location easy to find. Very accommodating took us last minute. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The breakfast at the attached restaurant was delicious. Thank you we will stay again.
We stayed here while visiting friends at Niagara Falls area. This Comfort Inn was comfortable, staff was friendly and professional. It was nice to find a decent pet friendly hotel. The price was right for the room. This is not a luxury hotel and does not have free breakfast. I knew that before booking. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable, good tv. When I return to the area, I would certainly stay there again.
The only concern is, that there is no elevator to the second floor, so these needs are accommodated on the first floor, and be sure to let them know ahead of time.👍The connected restaurant serve breakfast only for know. Excellent and super friendly people.👍
Nice room, clean, quiet area, fast check in with friendly staff.Air Conditioner worked well.Nice location to the Outlet.Would stay here again when visiting the Niagara Area.2 Queen Sized Beds.Pillows too soft.
The hotel was hot and smelled weird. We got to our room and there was a dirty towel behind the door, the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly, there was no hot water and the bed is very hard. Disappointing from a comfort inn
Spent two nights here on our trip through Ontario, Hotel was right off the highway, easy to get to. We had a handicap access room with a parking spot right outside the patio door. Unlike most CI's, there was no free breakfast offered, although there is a restaurant in part of the building. Room was clean and comfortable. There were no grab bars in the bathroom, but there was a seat for use by my wife. We were there during the wine festaival, but were not able to see either the parade or park as parking was not available, and we could not use the wheelchair effectively.
Checked in on a Sunday night 11:30pm due to poor weather. Frendly greeting at the front desk. Room was clean. Not many people there so it was quite. Had a good sleep. I would recommend staying here for any reason as its close to everything this region has to offer.
