FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - $ loss

We booked this property for one week due to its proximity to Niagara Falls...house was very old, very little updates done to the home, not very clean, there is an old musty smell throughout the house and don’t expect to cook in the kitchen except maybe instant noodles...the worst part was we were going to put up with all of this only to find out the AC wasn’t working. We contacted the homeowner and was told it was broken and that was why she had put in extra fans in the house...OK but the temperature was 84 degrees downstairs and was even hotter upstairs so how were we expected to sleep comfortably? The homeowner obviously knew the AC was broken before our arrival because she mentioned there were three prior stays before ours and nobody had complained about the AC. Also, we did not see ANY compressor on the property so we doubt there is AC at all. We ended up booking at a Hotel that night for the whole week and didn’t stay at the house at all. The homeowner also advertised there was a washer and dryer on the property but it was disconnected and a note says to do your laundry at the laundromat. Also, don’t expect to receive any help from VRBO. When we called VRBO, they told us it was up to the homeowner to refund us any money and it was out of their hands so I’m not quite sure what they are there for...guess just to collect fees! We ended up receiving 50% refund from the homeowner but nothing from VRBO as they can only refund the fees with 100% refund. SO...DO NOT BOOK THIS HOUSE OR USE VRBO!!! YOU ARE TAKING A BIG RISK BY BOOKING THROUGH THIS WEBSITE!!!

I had to track down the property manager to find out how to get into the accommodation. I did this the day before we left. When we arrived we found the place to be quite dirty. The television never worked. The living room had one couch to sit on and that was it. It didn't feel very inviting. The kitchen didn't have enough supplies to make a full meal. I rely on a full kitchen because I have eating issues and I didn't feel comfortable cooking in that kitchen.

Endroit calme près de tout les attractions

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour l'endroit est bien situé près de plusieurs restaurants et a 2 pas du centre ville... Nous avons eu une bonne communication par courriel avec la propriétaire pour la remise de la clé. L'air conditionné ce dispersait bien dans tout les pièces. Je dirais que le point négatif s'était que l'entretien des plancher laissait à désirer.
