Royal St. Charles Hotel

Hotel is in a great location, everything is in walking distance. French Quarter etc. Wouldn't mind a stay at this hotel again.

I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and very close to the location of a conference that I was attending. In the hotel lobby, there is a café and you can purchase a glass of beer from the front desk which is nice. The wifi in the hotel was great and I never had any problems with it during our 5-night stay.

The hotel has an excellent location but is otherwise fairly lackluster.

I paid extra for a room with two beds. When we arrived we put in a room with one bed and my son had to sleep on a couch. Not happy with them at all. When I asked the staff thereplied they had some booking issues but did not offer to reduce my room rate. I will not be back at this hotel.

Payed extra for a balcony that had a huge pillar in the middle. The furniture took up too much of the balcony for it to be comfortable. Room was tiny. No fridge. Great location though.

Good location. No Parking. Check-In Staff, not friendly. Only one check-in staff, during a busy time.

Other than sleeping didn't spend much time in hotel as this was a business trip. Comfortable bed and nice shower. My room was right over the streetcar stop on St Charles St. so I didn't need to "insert a quarter" (just joking) for the bed and whole room to vibrate a few times each hour all night (not joking about the actual vibrating)! Fortunately I wasn't bothered by this. I found the concierge to be very knowledgeable and helpful. WiFi was free but inconsistent bandwidth. Less than a block from Canal Street which was convenient for my evening strolls. A short distance to my NOLA office. My regular business hotel was full which is why I stayed here. Probably wouldn't choose this hotel again, but really I don't have anything against it.

I had very short period of time to do a lot. I can to assist my niece from MD to check into college. I needed to be close to downtown & to her university. Enjoyed my trip! However, my husband is 6'6". We had a king bed but the room was very small.

Not a bad hotel. The rooms are small and the walls are thin, but they keep it clean and the location is good. There's even a fitness room sufficient for a decent workout.

Great location. Easy walking to French Quarter and Business District. Rooms are small. Beds are a little hard. Bathroom is tiny. But comfortable if staying for an overnight or a weekend.

Enjoyed our stay, great location, close to business and the French quarter.

Room was small but very quiet, even though the streetcar was right outside.

I reserved a junior suite, which I think had plenty of room. The room was in very good condition and very clean. The bed was plenty comfy and I had a nice view. The location was great -- just across Canal from the French Quarter, so you could get to the fun, without it being loud. Three negatives: The lobby was always crazy -- especially during check-in times and early in the morning - due to the coffee place. The elevators are SLOW. The bathroom was kinda small.

Great price and the hotel was in a great location. The staff was friendly and I had no issues at all.

We didn't expect anything too fancy but this is definitely not a 4 star. It's a 2.5-3 star at most. No true hotel amenities.

One of the few complaints is that parking is 3 blocks away. Staff was ok. Pretty much you get what you're paying for.

Very small room but completely adequate space, close to everything in town! Shower only semi Luke warm at best.. No hot water.

The location is awesome. Only the valet people are courteous and respectful. The front ladies need to be train how to deal with people with color and accent.

Room wasn't what I thought it would be. There wasn't any windows to look out. The room was located in the center of the building. Had to pay extra $20 fee for amenities. Location is awesome!

A nice place that was a short walk to the convention center and good restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly. While the St. Charles street car line was next to the hotel, the trolleys did not hurt sleep.

We do apologize for the inconvenience with the room type at check in but you were upgraded to our Junior King Suite which is a higher rate then the standard room with two beds and is bigger. Thank you, Front Office
