French Market Inn is a very beautiful hotel that allows you to enjoy the architecture of New Orleans along with the advantages of a comfortable and clean place to stay. Staff is nice, welcoming, and efficient.

The room was clean and well maintained. Our room 106 in particular was extremely noisy. We were basically a walkway from the coffeeshop next door to the bathroom for the customers of the coffee shop. We heard the squeaky door every time it opened during the operating hours of the coffee shop. For those sensitive to noise and traffic, this is not a room for you.

Charming, historic hotel that felt like a sanctuary to come home to after a night out in the French Quarter. We had an interior room with no window and didn’t even mind it. The courtyards were lovely and hotel is in a perfect location.

I've had 3 stays there, all good, from 4 to 6 nights. The last two rooms have been upgraded, which I understand is being done all over the hotel. The beds are comfortable, showers are hot as you'll want, closet space is good, lighting is proper. The courtyards and pool area are pleasant with tables and chairs scattered about so you're not on top of other people. This is New Orleans, so there is some street life on the sidewalks nearby, but not the kind to bother you. Good shopping directly across the road or down just a few steps to the French Market. If you like jazz in particular, it is only a 10 or 15 minute walk to Frenchmen Street, where the bars, restaurants, and clubs start about 2 in the afternoon and go on till 2 at night. Very close to French Toast for very good breakfast/brunch, a bit further to the Ruby Slipper Cafe down Decatur toward Canal Street. Either of those will get you started for a great day in New Orleans. Staff are very polite and helpful and responsive. There is an onsite laundry, but I have not used it. I have not been tempted to stay elsewhere.

Our family of 4 stay in hotels quite a bit due to sports. We went to NOLA for weekend and decided to book here instead of normal large chain. We were SO IMPRESSED, from the classy gentleman that checked us in, the overall ambience of the hotel, the close distance to everything. We parked our car across the street ($100 from Friday through Sunday) and didn’t have to use it a single time, we walked all through the quarter and even decided to walk to WWII museum, not quite a mile. Since COVID, this was the first hotel that cleaned our room daily, made our beds, took out trash and replenished towels. Our first time in a very long time when we didn’t have to go and ask for towels for everyone to get a shower the first night. Our room was HUGE, more like a suite, with a sitting area with a couch TV and then the hotel room. It was so beautiful and of course, clean. The location was perfect for a family visiting the quarter. We even were in walking distances to the 2 ghost tours we did. Jackson Square, French market just a few steps down the road. I hardly leave reviews, but wanted to give this hotel the justice it deserved.

Genuinely the ONLY thing that made me rate The French Market Inn 4 stars instead of 5 was because one afternoon, after being gone for a few hours, I returned to find that my room was open with the deadbolt out. My experience with the generous staff made me know that this was just an accident. Nothing was taken from my room. I told everybody that I know that I would highly recommend this place due to it’s convenient location and it’s heart-warming staff.

The French Market Inn is in an excellent location; steps away from food, shops, the river and park and just 4 blocks from Bourbon Street. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was small but clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great; especially loved the rain shower. Our room was in the back overlooking the courtyard and was very quiet. Highly recommend this hotel that was perfect for our stay. We didn’t have a car but took uber when needed but parking was right across the street. (I think it was pretty pricey but so are most things in NoLa.
