Room was not ready for hours after check in

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff are all very friendly and the property is extremely well maintained and clean. The only issue we encountered was the room was not ready at the check in time of 3pm. We checked in with the desk twice and were told both times we would get a call or a text when the room was ready. We decided to walk around the neighborhood and wait. Never received a call or text, went back about 6pm because we were tired and it was ready then but would have been nice to have that call or text so we were not just wandering around waiting.

My room was okay but not worth the price. The bathroom door would slam shut, you couldn’t keep it open and had no fan for ventilation. So a hot shower would keep the bathroom wet for a prolonged period of time. I faced air conditioner units and broken glass outside window. Not a great room for my first time in New Orleans. Also, the elevator would work sometimes, a gamble to get on it, thank goodness I was on second floor.

Wonderful hotel! The staff is so friendly, the hotel itself is beautiful and the restaurants are fantastic. The rooftop pool is a huge plus! Our only gripe is the location. We always had to cross canal street to get to and from the hotel and it’s not the safest. But, once you cross canal you’re fine. We would stay again.
