The room was nice and the staff members were friendly and courteous. I appreciated the daily text message communication to check on our experience while there. Unfortunately, the first day we had no hot water in our shower and our toilet handle was broken. The beds were ok, but not super comfortable, and the bedding was very thin (our room was cold even setting heat on 75). We also wished there would have been a coffee maker in the room.

A mouse trap was on the side of the bed against the wall, why?! My daughters phone fell on the floor in the middle of the night so she was half asleep and trying to pick it up, good thing she pick up the phone first. We only saw the mouse trap when were doing our last check before we check out.

Byron Cerre’s attention to guests is outstanding. We were visiting over Halloween and observed a very busy hotel. We first encountered Byron while waiting to check in as he walked by and greeted us by simply saying “Happy Halloween”. The hotel provides a direct number to Byron in order to address any needs guests might encounter. We reported two different issues and Byron responded very quickly. He was attentive, knowledgeable and very professional. Beyond his professionalism Byron Cerre was simply friendly. The hotel is in a great location next to Bourbon Street but that alone would not make me book again. Byron Cerre is why I would book again and refer others. He will do everything he can to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Old hotel. Most of the staff was excellent. Check-in time is 4pm but it was close to 5:30 before we could get into our room. Needs new mattresses, towels, toilets (really low), tub had porcelain chips, rust and faucet never stopped dripping. Ice machine broken on 2 floors.

The rooms and lobby are old and worn. Amenities for a 4 star hotel are less than expected. Street view rooms are very noisy.

- The room had broken hooks. No toilet paper holder. - The toilet would randomly run throughout the day. - The room had an odd smell when we first checked in. - Double billed (Expedia and Crowne) at different rates. - Given a misc charge at check out without explanation. - My wife and I, both ended up with bites (spider or something) on ankles. [*not* bedbugs, thankfully] - When asking for coffee (5 day stay) for room, it was like I asked for their first born. - The door and cleaning staff were friendly and truly the only individuals that seems service oriented.

Stayed at this property previously. Staff always very courteous and helpful. And the same held true for this visit. Location location location...steps from the fun and restaurants on bourbon street in addition to the trolley service. Thanks to the bellman who got us a taxicab after plane delays and cancellations. Room was clean and updated. Only problem was the city mandated $25 per day tourist tax. Wasn't aware of this prior to my visit. Bourbon street has gotten pricey. Overall had a great experience in New Orleans hanging out, touring the sites and enjoying the great food.

I was overcharged to the max while staying here. When I made my reservation I was told that I will be charged a fee of $213 if I canceled my stay but instead I will charge the $213.02 days later after booking. When I contacted the hotel about being charged the fee prior to even checking in and that I had not canceled. They said that that was that was a fee just in case I canceled. I let the hotel know that I was only supposed to be charged the fee if I canceled after I checked out I was charged a fee of $1006. The fee that I owed before when I made the reservation was $885 after taking the 213 out I should’ve only been charged $657. When I got to the hotel I was charged an additional $180 for a deposit although they had already taken $213 off of my card. There was a fee of $49 a night to park at the hotel and we were in two vehicles. Both vehicles were only parked at the hotel for two of the three nights that we were there, but when I asked them for a breakdown of my charges I was still charged for three nights for two separate vehicles, which was six times instead of four times and I let the hotel know that we were only parked at the hotel for two nights instead of three nights. With me owning $657 plus the nights that we stayed at the hotel for parking. My overall fee should’ve been like $898. I was also charged a destination fee of $25 per night plus taxes and we didn’t utilize the Wi-Fi, the pool, breakfast, or any tours that they offered us. This is all a scam.
