Very bare bones. Also construction site across the street woke us up at 5:00am. Not happy.

I paid 138.00 through orbits to stay at this place. The hotel charged my card 100.00 then again for 365.80 and finally then again 465.00. I’m so disappointed and I don’t know what to do now me and my kids are stuck in another state far away from home with no money.

The staff were wonderful and responsive. Great service. The room was great and roomie

We loved the location of this hotel. It was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and staff that could point you in the right direction. The front desk staff was fabulous. They greeted you every time you came in and wished you a good day each time you left. The sheets and the towels were absolutely decadent and the ultimate quality. We do wish that the bed was a little softer and that there was a mini fridge in the room to store our leftovers. The modern renovations were very chic and made the rooms feel new yet still maintain the historic feel of the city.

I loved that the property was with walking distance of the French Quarters and many of my attractions. The building was beautiful, clean and well maintained. I was impressed with all that is going on in the world they staff maintain the cleanliness of the main entrance and all the hotel floors.

It was close to all the good food district. Close to Burbon St

I like that the property is a short walk to Bourbon street. This way you can enjoy the party life but then leave and get adequate rest. Short walk to Jackson square. Cafe du Monde, the Insectarium. Jimmy Js and Brennan’s had amazing food and were walking distance. There’s no room service but you’re in New Orleans. Walk out and get something tasty. NOLA is the type of place you stay for many 4 days so it wasn’t a big deal not having dressers to put everything away. The hotel was quiet and clean.

Location a plus. The downside of that is the city noise all night long. Hotel doesn’t have much to offer. We decided this hotel will not be on our list of future places to stay.

I made this reservation in May for the Royal Cresent Hotel instead I arrive to find the hotel has changed in every aspect and I was not notified by Orbitz or the hotel. I was not even sure I was at the right hotel because the name was Magnolia. I had to go inside to check to make sure I had the right place to stay. I booked this hotel because I stayed there several years ago and loved the old world charm and decor. I arrived to construction and a restaurant that was closed. The rooms were redone to look like IKEA furniture. There was no where to place clothing that did not need to be hung up. There were shelves instead of dressers. I was very disappointed in this stay. I feel that someone should have notified me of the changes so I could make up my own mind whether or not I wanted to stay in this "changed" hotel.

Nice newly renovated and clean. Staff was friendly

We apologize that the charges were not correctly presented to you prior to your departure. The $100 charge was an authorization on your card which is standard procedure upon arrival. It is only an authorization and is released upon check out. For most credit cards this is instantaneous, but bank and debit cards may take a few days. The additional charge was due to the fact that we are a non-smoking hotel and smoking was detected in your room. As stated on our registration card, which was signed upon arrival, we have a $400 smoking fee. Including taxes, this amount comes up to $465.80. The $365 was the authorization of the smoking charge minus the $100 authorization taken upon arrival. These authorizations were released and a "charge" of $465.80 was applied. We again apologize if this was not explained properly upon your departure. Should you wish further explanation or wish to have a receipt sent, please contact us directly.
